“Visited 29th February 24. Got an Uber here from San Antonio, ahead of catching my 7pm flight from Austin, it’s the perfect stop pre flight, the lead up to the place is interesting, looks like a few vacated and vandalised houses, pretty rough area. The brewery is set in large grounds with benches outside, quite nice, although it was raining a bit, so I sat inside, again benches, a long bar, you can see the tanks behind the bar. They had 10 or 12 beers on tap, mostly a local crowd, although I did meet another chap with a suitcase, he had just landed. All the beers are great, many smoked beers, Hefe, Helles, a great IPA, smoked double bock was outstanding, all served in 200ml glasses or a full pour. I ordered an Uber to get to the airport, it’s only 12 minutes or so to drive, but make sure you order it ahead, if you have a flight to catch, as the wait was longer than I expected and the traffic could be bad. A must I would say if you fly in or out of Austin“

“A large place near the airport. There is a nice outdoor area and also indoor long tables. No food but they have a German food truck on the weekends. They had 10 taps on, almost exclusively German styles with a focus on smoked beers. Overall beer was solid. A convenient place to stop, near the airport, and certainly if you're a fan of the German styles.“

“All of their standard fare as well as some brewery only drafts availible. Most to all can be bought in cans to go as well. Seating inside and out, as well as a disc golf course. Gotta go.“

“A large brewery with nice open outdoor space and even a 9 hole disc golf course. I visited during COVID so only got a glance at the inside. Service was good and friendly. They had 4+ smoked beers on tap which was cool to see. A good selection and cheap prices. They have a food truck on site that I did not try A really worthwhile stop, especially if lagers are your thing!“

“Spacious, airy taproom with a patio, near the airport, on a street that looks like a trash dump.10 own beers on tap, some cans to go. Good wifi. Best central and eastern European style beer I had in North America, why, they beat most beer in those styles I had in Europe... Food truck outside.“

“Stumbled on this out by the airport 5 minutes from our hotel. Quirky location for a taproom next to the production facility. Nice new taproom with large long tables and an out door seating area. Has a food truck. Had 10 drafts on tap, one ipa. The rest German style ales and lagers. The German style beers are really excellent. Came here each day we were in town. Some of the best US brewed German style beers I have ever had -“

“Rating the new location at 1615 Crozier Ln, Del Valle, TX 78617. Previous ratings are for old location in East Austin. Visited before a flight on a Thursday afternoon. Located less than 10 minutes from the airport. Plenty of parking in the large parking lot. Sparkly new production brewery, primarily dedicated to beer production, with a spacious tasting room on the back side. In addition to a long bar and some bar tables indoors, there are three large outdoor areas to relax. 9 house beers on draft available as full pours and half pours (though halves were not necessarily advertised). I have always loved the Live Oak beers, and the hefe I had was crazy fresh. A couple of light snacks. Chill music and friendly service.“

“About time somebody else rated Live Oak... I went to their birthday party a few months ago. The brewery itself is tiny - you’ll be surprised they can brew as well as they do with ceilings at barely 9’. Their tour was very informative on the brewing process. At the celebration, they had just about all of their beers on tap, which was definitely a plus for a free tasting. These guys know their brew. Evidently they’re working on moving to a newer and bigger brewery now, which will be great, especially if they’re able to bottle their beers. Big things ahead for this brewery.“

“This place has all the ambience that east Austin has to serve. Haven’t been there since I can’t remember, but have been to two great parties there and the ambience of my beautiful friend Mary is more than needed. Chip is the excellent host and you’ll now find Brian brewing at Bitter End. Thank god for these guys and their fantastic beers. Update - now they have moved to a lovely new facility across from the airport - and also now Brian has founded ABGB and both are rocking!“
