86 /100 City Works (The Star - Frisco) (Restaurant) 3680 THE STAR BLVD #1300 Located on a picturesque large plaza where the Dallas cowboys practice. Tall ceilings, modern, with a nice upstairs balcony. Food was good and the beer selection was well over 30 different beers. Place was hopping. |
80 /100 Cork & Growler (Bar) 8979 FM 423, SUITE 100 Pretty good rotating selection. No food but you can get takeout from local places. Service has always been a bit spotty, but a good place to relax. |
76 /100 The Common Table (Restaurant) 6740 WINNING DRIVE, SUITE 1005 Nice local gastropub. Their second location (other being in Dallas). Descent number of good beers selections and occasionally something rare. Regular brewer pairing dinners during the week. Good atmosphere next to The Star. Nice patio. Staff varies. Some are very knowledgeable and happy to make your experience amazing. Other staff do not appear to want to be there. Overall, I have had good experiences there and it will be a regular stop for me to visit. |
80 /100 Cork & Growler (Bar) 8979 FM 423, SUITE 100 My local taps and growler spot to try the latest local TX beers and even some rarer out of state beers on occasion. Extremely friendly owners and staff. Foo trucks every other Friday night. I am a regular patron, so this says a lot. |
82 /100 Cork & Growler (Bar) 8979 FM 423, SUITE 100 Nice little place. Good selection of national stuff and good locals with reasonable prices. Great friendly service. |
64 /100 Market Street - Frisco (Grocery Store) 11999 DALLAS PKWY Nice little store, it’s small but looks like they try to have a good selection of beers. They sell a few things in singles and staff is very friendly. |
74 /100 Market Street - Frisco (Grocery Store) 11999 DALLAS PKWY Visited here in early October ’15 while in the area fro business. Kind of a working man’s Whole Foods if I had to pigeon hole it. Lots of gourmet food available with an extensive hot food bar area. Wide selection of beer in a aisle-length cooler. Have a end-cap with singles available for a very reasonable price, some as low as $1.50 each. Plenty of Texas brewers represented. Worth a stop if passing by. |
58 /100 Mash’d - Frisco (Restaurant) 3401 PRESTON RD SUITE 1 Visited here in early October ’15 while in the area for business. Kind of a gastropub kind of place with an emphasis on Moonshine derived drinks. Have 16 beers on tap; half macro, half Texas craft. Solid menu with burgers, tacos (I had Bulgogi Tacos - which are Akaushi meat - Korean come to find out - very good), ribs, shrimp, salmon, etc, Service was spotty - I don’t like to have to get a waiter’s attention - I should be asked if I need something after seeing me stare at the menu for 10 minutes. Loud lively atmosphere, weird things on the TV - looked like a youtube channel or something, Would visit every now and then if in I lived in the area, but would not be a regular haunt. |
70 /100 Mellow Mushroom - Frisco (Restaurant) 2809 PRESTON RD, STE 1200 Not as hip and happening as Denver. Very good service. Out of the seasonals that should have been on tap. Decent pizza. |
40 /100 Sierra Market (Grocery Store) 7777 WARREN PKWY 300 Fringe craft beer place. A few things but not really worth a stop. Total wine is close and much much better. |
66 /100 Market Street - Frisco (Grocery Store) 11999 DALLAS PKWY Slightly upscale grocery store. Selection is decent and one of the best in area, but that’s not that great. Prices are slightly high but usually something on sale. I can always find something but not always the newest offering I wanted. Service is spotty. Rarer stuff like Divine you have to ask for in the wine area. |
74 /100 Mellow Mushroom - Frisco (Restaurant) 2809 PRESTON RD, STE 1200 You won’t find anything rare here but there is something for everyone and the pizza is pretty good. |
84 /100 Mellow Mushroom - Frisco (Restaurant) 2809 PRESTON RD, STE 1200 Finally some craft brews in Frisco! |
74 /100 Market Street - Frisco (Grocery Store) 11999 DALLAS PKWY good selection rivaling Central Market and Whole Foods, sometimes will put out Divine Reserve to see who is paying attention |
84 /100 Market Street - Frisco (Grocery Store) 11999 DALLAS PKWY Extremely nice selection |
100 /100 Sierra Market (Grocery Store) 7777 WARREN PKWY 300 Great Store, Friendly Staff, Knowledgeable, Awesome Selection! |
62 /100 Irish Rover Pub (Bar) 8250 GAYLORD PKWY An above average Irish-themed pub that’s in a convenient location for me. Tap selection is a little limited, but, everything I’ve ever had here has been fresh and good. Service is a little slow, but, the food is much better than expected. We go with a BOGO coupon for food and spend the savings on beer. |
60 /100 Irish Rover Pub (Bar) 8250 GAYLORD PKWY A typical pseudo Irish bar with several tvs and a patio can be smokey usually have about 20 or so taps of mostly Euro and macro stuff one of the few places that keeps Franconia on tap food is pretty typical bar food |
54 /100 Irish Rover Pub (Bar) 8250 GAYLORD PKWY I stopped by here because I heard that they have a new local brewer on tap. The moment we walked in (around 4:30 pm) we were greated and asked to sit where we like...We took a seat in the bar area. The waitresses are dressed in a black sporty T-Shirt and pants. Our order taken immediately. The food was good Had a very large 1/2 lb. burger. At the bar, they had some irish beers such as Murpheys & Guiness as well as some macros. They have 1 or 2 seasonals, such as Sam Adams summer ale, but what impressed me the most is that they had Franconia, a local beer thats brand new. Overall, this is a decent resteraunt/bar....but I did not recall seeing any Irish meals on the menu....looks like a mix of everything. |
48 /100 Irish Rover Pub (Bar) 8250 GAYLORD PKWY For Frisco, not too bad. Half assed attempt at an Irish decor, but it is hard to feel "Irishy" when there are Bud and Miller banners everywhere and the floor is polished concrete. The selection is it’s saving grace- nothing rare or out of this world, but well thought out. Our server could not for the life of him get our beer orders right though. It was fun playing "what’s that beer?" when he would bring our rounds. |
