62 /100 Crazy Girl Saloon (Bar) 444 FM 1960 BYPASS RD E We had a late inbound flight to IAH and decided to spend a night in Humble before moving on the next morning. Since there were hardly any walking distance options we've decided to check this place out. It did sound a bit dodgy, but what the heck. Turns out it's a decent dive bar with local folks enjoying beers, karaoke and darts. Beer selection is limited to usual macro suspects on dozen taps, plenty of Karbach cans and one Ingenious Pils. Not great, but better than expected. They do have a nice garden with a gazebo in the back, but it was too hot for that. Not a beer destination by any means, but still an oasis after a long haul flight. |
66 /100 Spec’s Liquor - Humble (Beer Store) 7034 FM 1960 E The place is mostly Wine and liquor and some beer. I was not looking for a whole lot anyways. The new beer section manager came over and introduced himself(forgot his name) He will have the pick your own bottles for a six pack next week. (They had fallen behind the times) Sell some of the 4 pack bottles as singles too! I got a couple 4 packs and bombers. |
70 /100 Mojos Sports Grille (Bar) 18323 WEST LAKE HOUSTON PKWY It’s a lot more rougher and beatup place than the last 2 bars I’ve been to on my trip to Texas. Large amount of good bars on tap. The waitress was not too up on the beer list. I ordered Epic Big Bad Baptist and she asked me if that was a beer. I let her copy the name from the list. We had a couple tacos each. They were good. |
