“Attended a special event here on a Friday night. Nice small establishment with outdoor patio and open area inside next to the brewing facility. Owned and operated by a couple with a passion for Enlgish ales. Great service, including a brewery tour and tasting. Not a huge selection, but done well.“

“Small place, right off the Dart tracks. Has a decent small garage, neighborhood type feel. Only 4 beers on tap. Decent priced at 10 for 3 pints. Beers were so so. Food truck was available. Room outside the brewery for more people. Small brew set up overall that could fit in a garage. I would check it out again and it would be a decent place to hang out but its not a must stop or anything like that.“

“Visited early evening on a Thursday. Strip mall liquor store, looked dingy from the outside but was quite clean inside. Ok beer selection with maybe 8 cooler doors of craft, one door of which focused on Dallas breweries. No singles available.

“Outstanding selection for the area and very reasonable prices. The guys behind the counter was very friendly. Low marks for being very unorganized and most things not being priced. I would suggest they get a little more organized and price everything and they would probably be a real destination for this part of town. I skipped over a couple of rarities I had never seen before because of no pricing. Otherwise, I will be back here again.“

“Tiny store, looks like a gas station. Lots of craft beer though, also caters to the least common denominator (BMC). Employees aren’t super helpful, but not too bad either.“

“If you go there when it’s not a busy night (avoid Friday, Saturday, and any evening with a big sports game) then it can be a pleasant place to drink. The beer is a tiny bit over priced for how not great their selection is, but for a sports bar, it isn’t bad. Nice staff that are decently attentive.“

“Smells like a mini brewery. Great, knowledgeable, friendly people. They have everything you need for homebrewing. Sometimes the price of things will surprise you, good or bad. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else for homebrew equipment.“

“This place is almost on the way home from my new job so I thought I’d check it out based on the previous ratings. Maybe it was different a few months ago but now it’s little more than a convenient store. They had a couple doors full of "different" beer but I wasn’t very impressed with the selection. The Chilly Mart on Centennial has a far better selection.“

“Went there for lunch. Ambiance - pretty nice with all the TV screens every where. A gaming place from checkers, pool tables, darts, etc... a sportsmans place to go. Service was good but it wasn’t busy at the time. The beer selection was ok but the price was too much... I guess it will minimize drunkenness. You’d have to go to one of the happy hours to get a better beer pricing. Food - I got the black forest ham sandwich on pritzel bread with sub of brackley instead of fries (lower carbs) was tasty at a reasonable value. Overall a pretty cool place.“

“Decent place but definitely not a go to for me. It is a nice place if it is late almost midnight and is pretty much the closes thing you can get to. Otherwise if you can make the trip for a couple more miles I would. They have a decent selection in their coolers lined against the walls. Clerks there don’t really know what they have but they do try to help you find something if you ask. Prices are pretty nice. Overall....eh.“

“Good selection and helpful staff (most of the time). If you need help getting your ingredients or get claustraphobic, It’s better to go during the week when they’re not as busy as it can get quite crowded in there. Can find what I need there most of the time and prices are competetive with some of the bigger online shops. Glad we have a decent homebrew shop in the area.“

“Stuck in a sea of suburbia with nothing decent around for a few miles, this place right down the street from me is a good place for emergancies when I can’t make it somewhere better. No ambiance to speak of and they guys running the place don’t really know what they have, so low points for service. But, if for whatever reason, you are stuck in western Richardson, this wil do.“

“Nice looking pub with lots of pool table and large screen TV’s. Food was ok and a average selection of beers and 1 local brew from Franconia. Waitresses are extremly cute but 2 of them that I met were not familiar with all beers they carry (I mean they didn’t even know they carried Franconia!). Seems like a fun place to hang out and shoot some pool and they have great pint night deals.“

“An unassuming corner beer store, stopped in because it was convenient. They have a really, really good beer selection. They have *lambic* beers! Brooklyn Local 1, Old Rasputin, Chimay, you name it. Short of the stopping by the Flying Saucer or Trinity Hall or the like, stop by this place if you need a better beer than the depressing stuff most places stock. Really nice selection.“

“This store is new.but selection of beer is amazing. i usually go here three times a week. and good things is they special order for me anything i need. if you ever go there ask for TJ. he’s the men there.you guys need to stop by and look it his selection. i was looking for SAINTARNOLD DIVINE #9 i went to may be 20 diffrent store then i found it in here. he gave me 1case in regular price.even this beer is not made too much.BEVERAGE ZONE ROCKS...................“

“A hidden gem for sure. Beverage Zone is an up and coming beer store in the DFW market. When you go in ask for TJ. Any beer that can be sold in Texas, including special releases, TJ will order for you. Usually the next day I get a phone call letting me know it’s in. Prices are good, selection and customer service are top notch.“

“This the best place in the D/FW to get homebrew supplies. The value here is the free advice these guys are more then happy to share. I found this place online when I was looking for a Mr. Beer refill. Kelly helped me get to the next level of extract w/grain brewing and have won many competitions using ingredients they provide. I just wish the hop and malt prices would come back down but HBHQ is reasonable priced compared to other shops in the U.S. Another plus for me is I don’t have to pay for shipping shopping here.“

“A great place for home brewers! Very solid selection of grains, decent selection of Hops, service is fantastic. These guys will help you build any creation imaginable. The only downside is they cap the quantity of Hops. Overall, the best homebrew shop in DFW.“

“Small little store in POS Richardson. Everyone inside is very friendly, there is a lively atmosphere and a general sense of camaraderie. The owners are always on the look out to save you money as well. Pretty good selection except for the shortage of english hops. I will be back here for sure when I personally start brewing.“

“Met up there with Swalden_28 to help me get the stuff and walk me through how to make my first cider. Nice and friendly place. Never been to a homebrew shop before, but they had everything I need. Will return at some point for sure.“

“On my first visit here I was mildly impressed--they had a relatively interesting beer like New Belgium 1554 on tap. But look, the best that might be said for this place is that it is the best place if you’re stuck in Richardson at the many nearby hotels (Radisson across the street) when in the Tech Corridor of Hwy 75. If you have a car, go to Addison, just five miles west. One thing I detest in life are places that call themselves English pubs while having 20-feet high warehouse ceilings, dozens of TVs, and seating capacity for 300. That ain’t British, any more than the BBQ place around the corner from the National Gallery in London is "Texan" (despite its theme-bar decor).“

“Selection was average, nothing special. Took 20minutes to get my first beer. Someone at the table had the pizza, cold and obviously under a heatlamp for a while. Worth the drive out to addison instead of here.“

“Kelly and Ben are the only people I see there anymore, and both are extremely helpful. If you are looking for dump and stir, malt extract, or full grain brewing they will be able to get you everything you need. In addition to beer supplies, they also stock wine and soda indegredients and kits, carboys and buckets, and a good variety of tools. Even live hop plants every spring! Kelly is more than happy to do phone and web orders and ice them down and ship it to your house. A good alternative to high gas prices. On the rare occasion Gary is behind the counter and you need help, come back another day.“

“The guy who owns the place can be very helpful and friendly, but a few of his employees aren’t very friendly. All the hops and barley you need plus more. Once in a while there’s special little oddities like agave extract or something. All the equipment a homebrewer needs. Good yeast selection. If you’re a novice they will help you out with cracking and packing you grains etc. but once you become familiar with them they will let you do it yourself.“
