“Visited later on a Thursday evening. Located in “The Shacks” collection of bars and restaurants. Grrrowlers is an indoor / outdoor spot with seating at the bar and more of the back patio. 25 beers on draft, all Texas, mostly Dallas locals. Friendly, attentive service, good music being played. You can bring in your own food, or food from neighboring food spots. (Just ok) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Airy bar built within the walking deck of "The Shacks" restaurant & public space. It overlooks a large dog park which invites you to order beer via a little pulley system. Twenty six taps, with a mix of about 75/15/10 local to regional to out of state brews. Lots of interesting stuff, with only a couple boring sessions. About on par with Thirsty Growler on quality, maybe slightly better. Flights, half pours, tulips, pints. Price was slightly high, but expected for the touristy area. No music, no tvs, just ambiance, chatter & dogs. Main bar is mostly glass & concrete with an open counter to the wrap around deck. Several 4-tops for seating that offer a view of the pups running around. Local food options are a mix of very cheap late night tacos, solid burgers, some bad fish & rotating food trucks. Tacos were like $2 during a long happy hour. They stay open if it's busy, which is really nice if you have your own pace. Beyond solid oasis.“

“One of the fine establishments inside the Colony Truck Yard: the live music, rusted car art, plastic beer cup compound. Two sided narrow deck, double roll up garage doors, lots of communal seating, exposed HVAC, foeders lining the bar. Sound lovely, right? Well, the beers are terrible & most people come for the really solid old fashions that take a few minutes to build. Flights are served in the same plastic cups full pours come in. Actually, the lager is fine, just keep away from the sours. Lots of lazy canned flavors & more than one faulty brew. Cheers. “

“Free shuttle from the hotel, woot. Went here a few times after a local gig. Stainless steel L bar, communal table, some booths. Digital tap board, online too, no prints if you're sitting off angle. It gets pretty loud during S-P-O-R-T-S, but is peaceful most of the time. Not really coming here for the ambiance. Fifty taps are a 3-1 mix or so of local & interesting brews, plus a few kombuchas, ciders & their own cold brew. Flight, halves, tasters, all good. There's usually a keg on spotlight for really cheap. Best DFW/FW/Plano selection I've found outside of the Moth. Prices start $5-6 a true pint, to $1oz for the rarer stuff. No food, but it's in a strip mall next to another strip mall. Cheers.“

“Stopped in for some flights on a Friday afternoon, crowded but not a problem getting a table. Nice interior, comfortable. Mix of clientele, mainly professional. Great tap selection with a lot of local/Texas beers. Digital board (linked to website) shows keg statuses of each beer. Reasonably priced flights/pints/growlers - full and half growler sizes available for purchase.“

“Not a good selection here, beer does not appear to be much of a concern for them. The guy at the counter was friendly and talked beer when I checked out but that was about it.“

“Hadn’t been here in a while and they have definitely upgraded their selection. Typical gas station appearance but quite a few good options. Helpful staff. Probably one of the best north of 121“

“This store doesn’t have much of a selection and nothing rotates in or out that I’ve noticed. Good prices on liquor and beer comparatively to the area, but nothing special in the beer department to pick out. Staff is helpful and friendly but not very knowledgeable. Not a bad store.“

“Great place! Family owned, friendly staff, will help you with any kind of questions you have as well as help you pick out something new! Usually has some open bottles so you can try before you buy (liquor-wise). The beer selection is incredible for a small store this size. The manager will help you pick out new beers and tell you what limiteds and rarities are in stock or in the back if you ask. There isn’t a better store in the area for beer.“

“I have been coming here for several years and have yet to see any real difference in what they carry, Only redeeming feature is there pricing is sometimes cheaper than others on what they do have. They also carry the Scarborough mead from Grapevine.“

“Decent beer selection for the area, although its not as good as it used to be. Only one small section of singles and bombers. Average selection of Belgians, Germans and American craft beers. If you’re looking for something new that just came out you might wanna look elsewhere. Staff is friendly and outgoing.“

“This used to be a great location to pick up any variety of beer that North Texas could get. However, the selection has been getting thinner and the availability of seasonals lags behind (or doesn’t show up at all) other stores in the area. They’ve had the same mediocre selection of bombers for a couple of months now and even closed out their remaining bottles of oak-aged Yeti in the bargain bin!! I don’t know if their beer guy quit, don’t see value in expanding their craft beer base or if their distributor is a jerk. They used to be a much better retailer. I hope they turn things around.“
