“Nice place in an area where it is crowded with beer places. This one is still absolutely wort a visit. Unusual interior and a nice bottle/tap selection“

“A beer selection that is quite different to other grocery stores in Norway. So it is absolutely a place to pop by and get some ticks“

“Almost impossible to find unless you know where it is. Cool place with a fine selection of Japanese beer. Solid sake selection. But difficult to find out what it is unless you know Japanese… “

“I was already pretty when we came here on Thursday evening. Quite empty, but live music was playing. Taps were mostly macros, but martjoobolut manged to dig out some rare vintages. So it wasn't all that bad.“

“Bar / live venue in the center. About 15 or so taps, about 20 bottles. Taps are quite boring, either macro or big craft (think Brooklyn Pilsner). That being said, manage to find some old and interesting bottles from the menu. Service was ok. Nothing really interesting here, beside those 1-2 old bottles (at the moment they still list Thomas Hardy 2007, I regret not trying it!). If you're interested in live music, this maybe a place for you, beerwise this is skippable.“

“Metal dive bar short distance from the center. DJ was playing the music, so this is also kind of music venue. Few taps and some cans. Nothing exciting. Ok service. Not really a beer-y destination, but worth popping in if you're into Norwegian metal and want to enjoy decent pint.“

“Italian resto/beer bar short walk from the center. Friendly service. 14 taps and bunch of bottles/cans. Tap list is dominated by Beer Flag and Svartbergets. No small pours/flights. Food was ok. Ok place.“

“Arcade/cocktail bar in the cluster with bunch of other bars, short walk from the center. Service was ok. Prices are oslo usual. Tap list has some fancy Nogne-s which we tried. Otherwise nothing really notable about this place, better beery places are nearby.“

“Short distance from the center, cocktail bar and bowling alley. Tap list is limited and weak. Bottle list a bit better, but still quite boring if you are not new to craft beer. Honestly as far as beers go this is a skip, there are so many better places close by.“

“Small Mikkeller bar short walk from the center. Service is ok, a bit disinterested. 20 or so taps + some bottle pours (including nice meads). Most of the tap list is boring (like Mikkeller's output in general nowadays). At least they did small pours, although not cheap. Ok place. I'm not generally fan of Mikkeller bars, but if you enjoy them, you probably would like it more than I did.“

“Big bar/resto (don't remember brewing equipment, but maybe my memory is hazy) located somewhat away from the center. Still walkable distance and easy to get by public transport. 20 or so taps, including bunch of their own stuff. Unfortunately a couple of more interesting taps were out. Still managed to find six new ticks easily. Prices are usual Oslo level. Service is ok. Ok place.“

“Cellar brewpub located some distance from the center, but easily reachable by public transport. The entrance is actually in the courtyard. Service was disinterested. Tap list were mostly their own beers, and flights were available. Beers were quite random and not in the top condition. Honestly this is just for the ticks, otherwise would skip.“

“Brewpub/bar located in the center. Tap list has bunch of beers brewed on the spot and some others including macroish offerings. No flights, but 250ml or so portions available. Service was friendly. Prices are Oslo usual. Ok place, just wish they did flights, it should be norm for brewpubs.“

“A restaurant short walk from the center. Very busy during Friday evening, hard to find a seat. Prices are expensive, but the beer list has some fancy stuff like BBT and Lervig, Nogne BA stuff. In the case of BBT you can get a bottle pour, so easy way to tick off something fancy. Service was below average. Not really enjoyable for beer nerd/ticker honestly. The only reason to go are the fancy bottle pours, otherwise this is a skip.“

“Brewdog bar a little bit away from the center, but still in the walking distance. Friendly service. Selection has some interesting stuff, including tasters of mead. Prices are above Oslo average, but this is expected from BD bar. I quite enjoyed it, minus the prices ofc.“

“Small bar/resto a little bit away from the center, but still in the walking distance. It was quite busy on Friday evening, so we had to stand in the bar. Some interesting beers from their own selection available. 0.25L and in some cases 0.33L is the smallest portion you can get. Prices are Oslo usual. Service was ok. Ok place to have a beer or two.“

“Crafty macro front a couple of km away from the center. Easily reachable by public transport. They do flights, but for some weird reason buying smallest portions separately is cheaper than flights ... (wasn't the only place in Oslo where that was the case!). Selection was mostly boring. Prices are on the higher side, service is ok. When in area then why not, otherwise could be easy skip.“

“Big modern brewpub out of center, but easily reachable by public transportation. Flight sized portions available! Good service, prices are reasonable for the small portions (well, in Oslo context reasonable). Have bunch of their own beers and some other. At least their own beers are in good condition. “Entrance is located inside the courtyard. Looks like completely random door. We didn't notice any signs beside very bent table nearby the door. Huge one room cellar type of place. Freezing cold down in here. Staff is some sort of teenagers who show little to less interest of serving. They do flights. Didn't leave good impression to me.“

“Large place with lots of details to pay attention to. Well moose head is obviously one. But also quite nice beer menu. One of the best services in town for us so far. Really friendly and helpful. Prices are crazy. Like for real 35 euros for a flight with no really expensive beers in it? That's robbery. Otherwise than that would recommend.“

“Looks like it's built in the old brewery of some sort. Inside packed with various brewing related items. It all looks.... yeah like visiting a macro who tries to impress with only thing what they have, history in modern sauce. Despite of design quite bleak. Selection of beers from their "craft" range on tap. Prices higher than normal. Easily skipable.“

“I have passed by this bar many times the last years. Often long line of young people to get in. I was not too late this Saturday and no queue. I quickly saw that this was not a place for beer geeks. Very large place, a bit dark, loud music and more like a nighclub. Mostly macro beers available but also 4-5 decent craft beers on tap. Classics, nothing new. Well, If I was single and 20 years younger, I might visit this place again. (Visited March 16th 2024)“

“A nice surprise! A bar dedicated to chess, board games and poker. I have no interest in playing anything but the beer selection was very good! Beer menu available in paper. Alost all tables had checkerboard embedded in the table top. Oval bar in the middle of the room, more rooms in the inner section. All guests were playing and drinking. Pop and rock music played (Journey, Kent, Queen, T-Rex) I enjoyed a beer from Dark Revolution sitting by the bar counter listening to music, poker chips game and people "doing some serious chess thinking" I enjoyed my stay. Always nice to see dedicated people in action. (Visited March 16th 2024)“

“Only Mack Isbjørn on draught. Bådin beers available in cans, but nothing too exciting. Cozy cafe, calm atmospere but not a beer place! I had a can Bådin Saison Larsen and a rather thin and tasteless fish soup. The homemade bread was nice. Not a place I will revisit. Just a place tick. (Visited March 16th with my wife)“

“Small bar of the beaten track for most visitors to Oslo. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Decent beer selection. Ayinger Bairisch Pils, Sagene Pilsner and Kinn Mysterud are house beers. Simple interior and pop/rock music played. Not at bad option to hang around in this bar for those who live in Sagene. Well worth a visit. (Visited March 16th 2024)“

“Moden beer bar close to the central station. 20 or so taps and 30+ bottles. The selection focuses on modern foreign craft and big/macroish locals. Service was average, prices are the usual Oslo level. Not bad, but there are bunch of better places in Oslo.“

“Neighborhood restaurant. Corner entrance with a nice little patio. Well, not nice this snowy day in March! Friendly service but boring music played. Some kind of easy listening jazz. 14 taps but two were empty. One from my local Rygr. The selection in the fridge was not as exciting as Cunningham has written earlier. I tried a session IPA from Vocation and was disappointed. The beer felt old and buttery. This place is not a place I will prioritize to revisit. Well, maybe a hot sommer day to enjoy a beer outside. A fresh beer! (Visited March 16th 2024)“

“Corner entrance just accross the street from Torshov theatre. Tyren is more like a restaurant or bistro than a bar. Very simple interior. Friendly service. Nine draught beers, rather standard selection but one from Salikatt at my visit. Decent neigborhood bar and restaurant but not worth a detour if your'e not already nearby. (Visited March 16th 2024)“
