72 /100 208 LAKEFRONT DRIVE
“Small indoor area and a big lawn area overlooking the lake and a bridge. Pretty much the only place on the lake with craft beer. They have started brewing but they didn't have any of their own taps on when I visited. There was a tap takeover from six bears and a goat when I visited (I had to hold back my excitement...). About 20-25 taps on here. Plenty of average stuff, and a couple of good ones. Friendly service.“

“Like Drake says - middle of nowhere. But I had located some beer at a local Louisa store I wanted to pick up and this place was close enough for a stop. I’m sitting here outside while the sky dumps liquid all over the area, just as it has been doing for the past month. Inside is small but nice - smallish bar and some tables. Outside has picnic tables both under cover and not. Service was fine but unremarkable. Value - 8 ciders for $20.01 plus tip. Ciders are nothing special, but if you’re in the area why not stop?“

“Located in the middle of nowhere and not near anything else. But its a nice drive. Moderate sized tasting room fit 15 people comfortably. Comfortable vibe. Small bar with no stools. 8 ciders on offer at my visit. Flight of 5 ounce x 8 was $20. Pints $6, growlers $12-18. Kinda pricy but not bad for cider. Bartender was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Ciders were OK. The high points of the ciders tended to be the adjuncts used. My favorites were a peach cider and a dry-hopped cider. The apple profiles themselves tended to be fairly boring and uncomplex (Cardinal Red as a notable exception). Nice place, but because of the remoteness not worth stopping by unless you're on a DEEP Virginia cider dive.“
