“Went during Covid, so didn't get to experience the tap room, just to go beer. But that being said, amazing selection of beer from them that I have never seen on the market. The location is remote, but it allows for the disc golf course, which was still poppin even during the pandemic. Staff was friendly, even if some of the locals waiting to buy beer in line behind me weren't as thrilled. Definitely need to check it out when its normal again, but it was a cool experience nonetheless.“

“In the middle of nowhere, but with the amount of space they have, it isn’t hard to tell why they picked it. They have roughly 20 beers on tap, all their own offerings, along with a gift store and full size 18 hole disc golf course (free). You can either drink out of glasses at the bar, or take it to go in a plastic cup and play a round of disc golf while drinking. Unique experience and worth a stop if you are within an hour drive or so.“

“This place is practically in the middle of nowhere... well the town of Boonville is quite nearby. If you’re driving from Hwy 1 to Hwy 101 you definitely have to stop here. They don’t serve food but you can buy something from the town and eat it here with some nice brews. 19 beers on tap, good selection of bottles to go and merchandise. Very big patio. Nice service. I don’t know why this is listed twice here on RB.“

“large, spacious venue. Could be 15 taps or so. Server knew the beers. A unique place which should not be missed.“

“Expansive tasting room, with an epic outside area in the middle of nowhere, Anderson Valley. Pretty broad tap selection of house beers, including a few barrel aged beers. Tasters are served in plastic cups, which is a minus. Service is friendly enough, and prices are a bit on the steep side. Definitely worth a stop when driving down or up the coast.“

“I liked this place when I visited it a while back. Classic rustic brewpub scene. A gem out in the middle of nowhere. Every thing is pretty good. For a good time check it out.“

“We were here in 2010. it was a long but beautiful ride from the North California coast through woods and mountains. We have not expected a large brewery like we finally found it in the small village of Boonville. Inside not very nice, small bar and a huge merchandising area. We preferred sitting outside in a nice small beer garden under trees. Beers were all decent. Met some funny people.“

“Went here a few weeks back but couldn’t find the place listed on RateBeer at the time. Tasting room is large and open and has a souvenir shop with beer for sale as well. They had about 20 different beers on tap, with all of their usual suspects plus a lot of specialty brews. All of the beer was really good and it is a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting!“

“I went the Sunday morning after the 2012 Legendary Boonville Beer Festival and had some beer for breakfast. As campers from the festival rolled in looking like they’d been eaten by a bear and shit off a cliff, it made for interesting people watching while sucking down some EXCELLENT Anderson Valley beers. A definite must see if in the area, maybe even as a reason to be in the area!“

“Loved it. Took the brewery tour, beautiful equipment and grounds. The tasting room was spacious and sunlight filled. The beers were sampled we can’t get on the East Coast so it was fun to taste some of their more experimental stuff! Worth the drive!“

“Nice place, beautiful area. I loved the drive. got a couple of cheap samplers. The people were nice, beer was average to good. Not spectacular, the the scenery makes it worth it.“

“I had a lot of fun ordering and talking over the full sample platter my wife and I ordered. The girls working behind the counter were fun and knowledgable, especially since one of them had to leave early for her DUI class. The Bar itself was very open and had what looked like a great hop garden/seating deck on the outside which I didn’t go to. Great place for a drink and easy to make new friends. “In its bucolic setup only reachable through miles of steep slopy one-lane roads (beautiful), Anderson Valley feels like one of the smoothest brewery I can think of. Cheap prices, a nice beer garden and lots of brewery gear make it an interesting visit for whoever likes the brewery. I was not convinced the detour was worth it, but I’ve only tried one beer there and could have stuck to it pints after pints as fresh as it was - just as fresh as anything was this pint of Summer Solstice to which I gave a 4.0 after having given it a stunning 2.2 on my first try a few year ago - it was a bottle obviously. Lovely spot which had the brewery climb heavily in my impressions.“

“A nice place to stop and have a drink taste their beers and play some frisbee golf on the brewery site if the weather is nice. I liked going on the tour and seeing the brew kettles. It is a tasting room with gift-shop and place to buy some of their tasty beer. They have tables outside so you can bring a picnic.“

“Awesome brewery. An absolutely beautiful brewhouse. The food is great but the seating set-up is a bit strange (think tables in the gift shop).“

“More of a gift shop and a tasting area with a couple tables, AV dropped the food part of their experience about eight years ago. AV is not the type of brewery to continually experiment and what not, BUT, the beer they brew is of course solid and incredible. I got a sampler tray (and had already had all of these), but the novelty factor of having their great brew at the spot was lovely. Met the grounds keeper, who was a super chill guy, and sat and chatted with him for a while. The land they’re on is absolutely beautiful. The brewery itself is quite spectacular - it’s not often you see present day American brewers using vintage German kettles! If you’re in the area, this is definitely worth a visit!“

“Big hanger-like tasting room across from the brewery. Atmosphere isn’t warm or friendly, but a nice place to stop in for a round of samplers. Great beers from a great brewer make this worth the trip though.“

“Nice tasting room. It’s not really a restaurant, although you can get some pizza or meats or cheese to eat along with your beer (pretzels are there for free). All of their current offering are on tap, and the staff has been friendly and helpful every time i’ve been there. A nice stop on your drive through the Anderson Valley.“

“Big open spaced tasting room/bar and gift shop. No specials available. No food. Brewery was closed for tours (Monday) but they are set on a pretty big piece of land, surrounded by wineries.“

“Being here was like being in HEAVEN. Pretty sure things have changed by now, but if you do as I did and spend the ENTIRE day drinking in San Fran sure you will be able to view in the same light as I did. Any brewery that lets Dave Keene have his way with their beers is a freind of mine.“
