16 /100 17800 S MAIN ST #105 How has anyone rated this place well? This place is absolute garbage in terms of their mead and cider quality. It's a pleasant enough looking place, comfortable, and with good service. They have 6 "meads" on taps and another 6 ciders. I put scare quotes around "meads", because at best this is honey soda that's been slightly fermented out. I ordered the mead flight ($19 plus tax), which came with all 6 meads, all of which were horrible and not at all convincing. Seriously, I cannot oversell how terrible these products are and what a waste of time and money it is to visit. The 2 ciders I tried were also terrible. This is not real mead and is not worth visiting. Don't waste your time here. |
80 /100 17800 S MAIN ST #105 Stopped here with my girlfriend and vacax prior to heading over to Monkish. A small warehouse/business park space with some seating, a kegerator, and a few barrels all in plain view upon entering. Kind of bare bones, but it works, particularly since they are open such limited hours.
They had six ciders and two meads on tap during our visit. I thought that the ciders were enjoyable for the most part, though the ones I did not like were way off the mark. The meads were more on the "sessionable" side, perhaps that feeling was aided by the carbonation. Pretty affordable prices, nice guy running the place, and good company from the small tasting room crowd. Would definitely recommend a stop. |
86 /100 17800 S MAIN ST #105 Simple place in an industrial setting. What stands out is the owner, spencer snd his girlfriend. Just incredibly inviting and friendly. Very open about their business and processes. I really enjoyed everything I tried. Very limited hours, so check before you go. |
