78 /100 259 3RD AVE Pretty cool brewery in a storefront along Chula Vista's trendy main area. Good vibes, good music, good beer. It has an open area overlooking the brewing floor. |
92 /100 Bar Sin Nombre (Bar) 253 3RD AVE #100 The building has no sign, thus bar without a name, so trust Google maps on this one. Standard beer bar with big bar space, a few long beer hall tables that have Nintendos on the end of each, a small outdoor space. Service was great, super friendly and definitely knew the beer very well, which is impressive considering what they have. A super varied list, with everything from light lagers and micheladas to lambic and crazy imperial stouts on tap. If you're down in the southern area of San Diego, I definitely suggest stopping. |
64 /100 688 MARSAT CT, STE B This place lives in an area of the county without other breweries, which is probably why there is not much traffic here. I found it easy enough after a south county hike. We sampled the house beers, about a dozen in total, all of varying quality. Its an open industrial building with a garage door open at the back for capturing coastal breezes. |
82 /100 259 3RD AVE Located in downtown Chula Vista this small brewery kicks out some fine German lagers aside a few mainstream styles. Great service that treats everyone like family and friends. Easy street parking in front. |
78 /100 901 LANE AVE, STE 100 A large, open production brewery with taproom located in Chula Vista. They are currently planning a second space which will be restaurant and small-scale brewery, also in Chula Vista. The bartender was friendly and talkative, telling me what he knew as he was fairly new to the operation. The beers are solid and about 75% are IPAs/IIPAs/IIIPAs/APAs, and the cloudy craze is alive. |
72 /100 259 3RD AVE Cool setup, with a narrow bar over top of the cellar and brewing areas, but a bit cramped when it's crowded. Punk vibe pulls at my heart strings a bit, which is nice, and they play it hard. Selection was varied, but nothing I had was stellar or really stood out, but they're new. Cool place. |
66 /100 901 LANE AVE, STE 100 Down in Chulujuana, but they have a nice space; big warehouse with a smaller outdoor area, but lots of seating options inside, yet not exactly a destination. Tropical themed, with bright colors, toucans, and Brazilian samba playing loudly on the stereo. Service was curt and not very friendly, but we were there close to closing time on a Sunday. Selection was varied, sours and IPAs were solid, dark beers were hit or miss. If you are down that way in town, it's something to check out. |
80 /100 Sprouts Farmers Market - Chula Vista (Eastlake) (Grocery Store) 878 EASTLAKE PKWY Great selection for a grocer. Constantly getting new stuff while keeping the best stocked. |
100 /100 South Bay Liquor (Beer Store) 1355 BROADWAY #L This place is Awesome, The owners are very nice the selection is one of the best in all of san diego county and the prices are very fair. Also if you talk to Jon or Joe they will try to go out of their way to get you what you are looking for or at least guide you in the right direction. This place is right off the 5 freeway and pretty easy to fine. |
82 /100 BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse - Chula Vista (Restaurant) 555 BROADWAY, STE 1019 A good selection of ther own micros and bottles. Good food and quick service. |
