74 /100 The Fourth Bore (Restaurant) 2 THEATRE SQUARE #134 Wife found this place as a lunch stop on the way to Walnut Creek. That was certainly nice of her! Very quiet on a Sunday, in fact the whole town was sleepy. Many restaurants not even open. Oddly enjoyable as compared to most of the bay area. Street parking was free and available without problem. The place is in the theater complex, all the way to the back. Some outdoor seating in front, lots of heat lamps and a large gas fireplace. Did not even look inside, honestly. Service was decent, a little slow and, I guess Valleyesque for lack of a better word. Food menu was pretty standard bar fare. Burgers and sandwiches come with chips, which can be upgraded to fries, but NOT to garlic fries for some reason. We paid for an entire appetizer order to get those. Taplist was actually pretty solid, very Nor-Cal focused with a lot of breweries represented. I did a sample of 3 4 oz pours for, wait for it, $13(!), which was painful, but not too out of line with the overall high prices. All in all, good locals selection, scary prices. Worth a stop if you are nearby. Oh, and they have a house IPA made by E.J. Phair. |
66 /100 Beverages and More (BevMo!) - Orinda (Beer Store) 6 CAMINO PABLO At this point I found this to be one of the best bevmo’s around. |
66 /100 Beverages and More (BevMo!) - Orinda (Beer Store) 6 CAMINO PABLO I find this to be a below average BevMo. Standard stuff and even sub-standard compared to other BevMo locations. Nothing rare but if you’re looking for a good price on a widely available micro then this is a nice option. Certainly not worth going out of your way. |
