“Have been here a handful of times. It's definitely a bit of a trek for me since it's about another 20-30 minutes east of Sacramento, but I generally like their beer so I don't mind if I'm already headed up that way. Located right on the corner in a big business park that seems to mostly be populated by auto shop type businesses. They have a good amount of seating space inside and have also set up a tented patio area in the parking lot since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. It's a pretty modern, kind of industrial feel inside with bare concrete floors and stacks of barrels right there in the tasting room portion of the area. They usually have a large list of beers that covers a wide variety of styles from pale lagers to pastry imperial stouts. I know a lot of people are really into their stouts, and some of them are very good, but I prefer their hoppy and sour offerings personally. They do a good mix of west coast and hazy IPAs. The service and staff are generally pretty solid here. Prices can be a bit on the high side, especially for the small pours and big stouts, but they're not egregious. Definitely recommend stopping here if you can.“

“Definitely the best brewery in the greater Sac region that I visited. Beautiful spot in an industrial lot, with a large patio and limited, but comfy and well-designed interior with a modern warehouse-like feel. Large taplist of 18 beers, with 5 oz pours of anything. Probably half of the beers are hazies, which is annoying for me, as I'm not fond of them; but they do them better than most. The highlights for me were their imperial stouts, which are elegant and complex; their Czech pils and one of their fruited sours were also standouts. Prices are rather high for some of the stouts ($5 per 5 oz of non-BA; $8 for BA), but you get what you pay for I guess. Friendly service and a fun environment to sip very high-quality beers. Worth visiting for the stouts alone. Mandatory visit if in Sac.“

“Stopped briefly on the way home from Truckee. Nice space with a snooze and you miss it entrance by Pep Boys. Enter through the back. Outside seating when weather permits. Inside area is not large, barrels everywhere. Tons of taps with great variety; lots of IPAs, several sours, 3 BA stouts and a few pils and "other" styles tossed in. Everything priced at 5oz, with most of the non high octane offerings priced for larger sizes as well. Flights of four available, 5oz pours served in full glasses kind of like Fieldworks.“

“Big open space taking over for the defunct Dragas Brewing. Bar is is a different better location opening up the space a little more. Plenty of tables, and a couch. Room for about 100. Service was pretty fantastic on a busy opening weekend, and most importantly 6 or the 7 beers were awesome. Lots of hype going in, but well deserved. Will be in the regular rotation from here on out.“

“Took over the Boneshaker/Black Vinyl location. Decent amount of space. Super friendly service, including Kathrin herself, who is usually found kicking ass and taking names in the kitchen. Food is authentic and delicious, and the dozen-ish beers on tap are selected carefully to go with the menu. A couple house beers and lots of German imports on tap and a few bottles. Really cool place.“

“I love this place! The Chef’s Table serves small plates ranging in price from around 5-18$. The menu changes weekly, is very creative, focuses on local/regional ingredients, and is prepared right in front of you in the open kitchen. The food is consistently excellent (the shrimp and grits is a personal favorite) and is offered with a large list of wines along with a good selection of beer. There are five rotating taps that always have something very good. Deschutes Abyss, HopHenge, Odonata Water Witch, Auburn Alehouse Gold Digger IPA have all made appearances. This is supplemented by a small bottled selection that has included Russian River Pliny the Elder, Deshutes Abyss and XXi Porter, and Odonata Rorie’s Ale. If you want a great beer, a nice glass of wine, and/or an excellent small meal, stop by.“
