“Une bonne sélection de base et quelques petits joyaux éparpillés à travers ça. L’entreposage est adéquat et c’est possible d’avoir du service.“

“This is located in a tight little non-descript sort of run down strip mall that doesn’t really stand out and it took a while to locate since I didn’t see the yellow sign in the parking lot. The place is pretty darn small with friendly help that pointed me to a beer I wasn’t looking for but was happy to buy once I noticed it. There is a line of coolers filled with bombers and such with a room temperature (summer time it is rather warm actually) shelf opposite in the aisle. Another area has the macros and likely a new Malt Liquor tick had I come prepared to find a new one (for me this is worth a future stop alone). It was surprising to see lots of Alesmith 2012 Decadence Smoked Barleywine here. When’s the last time I say that on the shelf? Pretty cool. There’s some Stone VE 11 and 12 still here too. Nice.“

“This place is on the corner of Campo and Bancroft where it has that old time corner grocery store look to it and that’s exactly what it is. Plenty of parking and an easy in and out and back on the freeway. Someone is setting up some smoke bbq out here in the parking lot. Nice! Walking in I get a pleasing rush of savory deli meats and less pleasing country music blaring overhead. The selection is off in the back left hand corner where a whole shelf is dedicated to show off someone’s collection of whales (that are clearly marked with bright pink tape, display only). Alright, an interesting introduction as you’re initially tempted until you notice none of it is for sale. That feeling evaporated quickly as I turned down the beer aisle where there is a long row of coolers to the right and room temperature bottle to the left. Man, what don’t they have here. I see stuff from everywhere, Russian River, Mikkeller, To OL, B. Nektar, Prairie and it just goes on and on like that. There are lots of great California brewed offerings too. A very quick look around and I see like ten different bottles I’d love to buy that are all in the $18 to $25 range, cripes. I can blow a couple C-notes in here no problem. The prices are high but that’s for the high end stuff. The prices appear to be pretty fair overall. This is a must stop if you’re anywhere near here.“

“This is an old style neighborhood market with smokers on site, real butchers, fresh fish and an impressive beer selection. It is right off the Bancroft exit of Hwy 94 in Spring Valley.“

“After coming into the place I had to write some reviews about my experience. I read that they didnt have any extra ordinary beers.........hmmmm they had more off the wall hard to get beer than I have found anywhere. This guy Derek knows what he is doing. I was able to pick up Pliny, consecration, Angel share, older viscosity, deliverence, Knee Deep Simtra, Kern river outstanding, and about 5 different alpine beers. I was in Beer heaven. I cant even get into the meats because I would be typing for days. Hands down my new favorite. If you go ask for Derek (owner) he is more than accommodating. Cheers“

“Stopped in after I heard from a friend that this might be a little unknown hidden gem of a place to score some good beer. I also have been looking for a real butcher so I had to check this place out. The meat is amazing. Mostly choice cuts and some prime. Which is excellent since grocery chains in my area only carry select. The Butchers were very friendly and I met the owner Derrick who was stocking the beer shelves. He has plenty of knowledge about craft beer. We chatted for a few minutes while I tried to take mental notes of what he had. Lots of good local beers that makes Valley Farm a great place for us locals that is off the beat and path. It’s kinda that place you enjoy before it really gets discovered. You hope the owner does well and his business explodes but then again you hope it stays quiet just the way it is. You won’t be disapointed by the selection. Nothing extremely rare. They had all the locals including some from Manzanita. I found it lacking one prominent local brewer. Alpine had nothing on the shelves. That to me is disapointing. Alpine deserves representation in this type of setting. I was actually going to buy some Sculpin or Exponential if he had it. He said they would be in a month. Probably too late for Expo though. I did see a bottle or two of Alesmith Summer Yulesmith which makes me believe there might be some other hidden gems sitting on the shelf. I will be returning this weekend to investigate along with picking up some Brisket for the smoker. Peace! Cheers.“

“Decent family type grocery store. Good selection of local brews, along with all of the usual macros. Some unusual imports. I was surprised by the quality of the brews. Nothing to go crazy about, but still had some solid stuff. Prices are pretty good for the most part. I like the fact that they sell singles as well. Very good meat counter if you desire some carne. Best place I know of in this part of town.“

“Pretty much your standard liquor store in the middle of the Ghetto, they happen to have a few good brews. They have some brews from Coney Island like White Python and Sword Swallower that I haven’t been able to find elsewhere in S.D. Its worth stopping by if you’re in the area.“

“Good place for Casa De Oro area. Little liquor store in a strip mall. Decent selection. Not alot of stuff, but some good stuff. Good spot to pick up Stone special releases. I have found a few beers here that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Prices are reasonable.“
