“Visited on 29th December 2022 ($1:00 of every pour on Thursdays). No flights but they do generous half-pints. 12 of their beers on tap, 1 fridge with cans. It's at the end of 3rd Street, next to the large drain that wasn't flowing (never seen it flowing actually). Been there about 9 years, it's cool, modern and airy; No outside drinking though. Square shape, bar straight in front as you walk in, pool table, shuffle board and other stuff to the right. I shared 7 halves with my Son-In-Law and was given the remaining 3 beers (large samples) by 'Josh' the bar manager. Liked the vibe and the beers (10 new rates).“

“We came here on 6.7.2022. We like Karl Strauss since we travel to California for beer but have never been to this location. A brewpub with tanks and brewhouse visible from outside. Seems they have not brewed on site for a while. Large dark taproom and nice outside patio with a fire place. We had a Red Trolley ale and an Aurora Hoppyalis (bronze winning IPA at the last beer world cup), both were excellent. For sure this place is a bit commercial but we still would come back.“

“Stopped in for a quick drink on way out of town. Very friendly bartender in non annoying way. Good variety of styles. Bombers for sale super expensive but the lager I got was cheap. Tucked down a street pool table. Seems pretty fun.“

“In an industrial park (easy parking). Visited on a Thursday night in October, very low key. 12 ish beers on tap, only tried one. Solid offering. Lots of artsy fartsy stuff on the wall, mostly related to music. No food. Staff was friendly. If you are in Temecula, stop by.“

“Came here on 13.6.2021. Small brewpub in an industrial area of Temecula. Around 15 beers on tap. Good selection of IPA’s, Cream Ales and Stouts. Had a good Hazy IPA (Crushinator) - only 5.4% and a West Coast Grapefruit IPA. Brewery is on the left side. Place could be arranged and furnished better but beer quality is excellent.“

“This is a local meadery and cidery in Temecula, CA. They serve hard ciders and meads (honey wines). Crafted in small batches with locally sourced ingredients you can't beat the delicious tastes these guys are creating. They have a great tasting room that open Thurs - Sun and a variety of seasonal flavors that are delicious.“

“Excellent location - a couple of blocks from the heart of Old Town and about 4 miles from the wineries. Warehouse location, bar almost sits in the middle of the brewery. Games and TV for ambiance. Almost everyone here was a couple making it look like a wine tasting segue. 17 beers available - almost all tap except for a couple of special releases in bottles. Very reasonable pricing, especially on the high octane stuff. A couple of young girls bartending - not much knowledge. Beers were great. About half were IPA variants but some experimental stuff too.“

“Another industrial area brewery located in Temecula, really across the parking lot from Refuge. They too do not offer food but allow outside food. The beer selection was pretty good with some vintage bottle pours available.“

“Another solid brewery in Temecula offering an alternative to all the wine. A large industrial space, tall ceilings, open to the brewery, ample bar and seating surrounded by barrels aging beer. No food but a good stop nonetheless.“

“Visited on 22nd Dec 2017. Good selection of Californian beers, plenty of Stone stuff plus rarer brews like Kern River, small local breweries available too. Belgian beers also feature heavily, with some old favourites like Kwak and Zot on show. Friendly service.“

“Visited during Happy Hour time on 19th Dec 2017. Really impressive beer list, all from Southern California and listed by style on the menu card. Flights available too. Modern interior with two bars within the open plan rooms, patio fronting the street. Pleasant young lady served us, but her beer knowledge was low. Nice and quiet on a winter Tuesday.“

“Recommended to me by the head brewer at ’Refuge’. Four adults and a 20 month old: Friday 10th Feb 2017, early evening. Serving girl a bit ’scatty’ but otherwise a real joy. Basic, cafe like lay out: nothing fancy or flash to sit on or look at. The beer list was both interesting and large, local and out of state choices, I had two flights (4 x 5oz pours each). The food list was also interesting and large, I had an Old Town Burger with Fries: one of the best burgers I have ever had. Everyone had something different and we all enjoyed our choices both beer and food wise. Highly recommended.“

“Re visited late afternoon 20th Dec 2017. Had an equally good time in here as our first visit. This time they had a lovely lady selling cheese, so we had a great 'platter' from her to compliment our beers. She had been plied with alcohol all day by the brewery people and was 'a little tipsy' bless her. Original review follows. Ambled in here after visiting their near neighbour ’Wiens Brewing Co’ over lunchtime on Friday 10th Feb 2017. Nice set up, small bar with 16 taps in use, all their own stuff. Comfy chairs, low tables, high stools, high tables: brewery in view, barrel aging in the room as you drink. Free Popcorn. Liked the place, the vibe and the beer. I asked the pleasant young lady behind the bar if I could speak to a brewer. She found one for me and we had a chat about the heat and barrel aging. He also recommended a bar in town that had great beer and food ’Devilicious’. We went there later and I will add it to the Ratebeer database once I have finished this review (which is now).“

“Lunchtime on Friday 10th Feb 2017. First customers of the day, only two more came in during our hour plus stay. Dark, modern and about a third of the brewery given over to the bar area and seating. Some logo’ed stuff to buy and a beer menu that had ’Flight Suggestions’ on one side and the beer list on the other, 16 of their beers in total. I had two trays of 4oz flights (4 beers on each) and an 8oz pour of another beer. Lady serving at the bar was fine, some cleaning going on in the brewery behind her. Beers were good, we sat staring across the road to our next port of call ’Refuse Brewery’ 50 metres away. Pity it wasn’t busier because it’s a decent place and the beers all in good condition. Temecula was turning out to be a lovely drinking town, this is about 1.5 miles from the ’Old Town’ but the walk made us thirsty.“

“Visited late on the evening of Thursday, 9th Feb 2017. Place was rammed but we managed to find a couple of seats at the bar in the rear garden area. Cool vibe, cool breeze as well, fire pit and heaters didn’t reach the bar stools. 20oz pours, good choice of draughts, local and from further afield (mostly Californian). Friendly bartender, customers seemed fine, mixed bunch of tourists and locals, or so it seemed. Didn’t eat or get to look inside but we liked the place and would happily revisit should we ever go up to Temecula again.“

“Visited on 9th Feb 2017 just as the weekly quiz was about to start: just what we wanted (not). Half mile out of town all Yellow and Black outside, modern and slick inside. Outlines of the California state seem to dominant the place, even the flights come on one. This brewer likes to ’fanny around’ with his beers, so do not expect a light golden Pilsner or an APA or IPA to quench your thirst after walking out here like we did. Every single beer had something added, quirky style, or so it seemed. Beers were actually fine and the server was too, overworked because of the quiz crowd mostly, but she kept her cool (mostly). So weird concoctions in a modern setting sums up the place.“

“Located close to the 15 freeway, this place is easy to get to. The ambiance is pretty austere, a few tables in the tasting room in full view of the business end of the brewery. The beers I sampled were all good with a barrel aged stout being a real standout.“

“Visited on a weekday evening. They have a U-shaped bar with a few tables around. They may have more space usually, but there was an art class going on when I was there. Kind of cool to watch that go down. They had quite a few beers on tap including a fun group of four kettle soured beers aged on four different fruits. They let you do a flight of all four for $10. Not exactly cheap, but not too bad either. Plenty of other regulars and a few barreled beers too. Nice selection. They didn’t serve food, but there was someone from a nearby pizza place taking orders to be delivered at the brewery. Also a nice touch. I enjoyed talking to the server who is an aspiring brewer. I got a chance to talk to the head brewer about a barrel of beer they found stowed away in the back of the brewery that was 4 years old. Rather than dump it, they added extra stuff to try and save it. I got a taste and other than being massively oxidized, it seemed like a serve-able beer. A pretty fun place with good beer. One of the top places in Temecula.“

“Visited on a Tuesday night. It’s in a good location pretty close to some of the other Temecula breweries. From the outside, it looks more like a brewpub than a tasting room, but they only serve their own beers and no food offered. Inside, the tasting room is very well done. Fairly spacious and comfortable. I like how they designed the place. The service was very friendly and all the servers were knowledgeable about the beer. It seems as though these guys have come into their own as far as the beer quality is concerned over the last couple years. The hoppy beers were all solid and the couple barrel aged beers I had were good too. Most of the local beer geeks seem to prefer here and Refuge to some of the other places in town. I can see why. I think the beer is under rated, and the place is very nice. I recommended a visit while in Temecula.“

“From what I remember, this wasn’t an industrial park. Wha?? I know... It looked more like a small strip of storefronts off the main drag. Not hard to find. Inside they keep the place pretty dark. A bit of a lounge feel to it both with the lighter and decor. Plenty of seats at the bar with few few small tables. I guess the brewery is behind the wall of taps. You can’t see it from the tasting room. They’ve obviously tried to keep it separate, which is fine. They had swag for sale including some nice looking glassware with their logo and a few bottles to go. The server was nice enough, but was more interested in chatting it up with the regulars. Again, fine with me. I was really impressed with the ridiculous amount of house beers. I counted 31. Most of them were weird styles like candy bar stouts, mexican coffee porters and cinnamon raisin cookie ambers... stuff like that. They had some normal beers too. Most of them were ok with a few stand outs. Definitely fun to try, but since many of them were high gravity, it would be really hard to try them all. Prices seemed really high too. Overall, I would recommend stopping in especially if you like novelty beers of decent quality.“

“Visited on a Monday around noon. It’s located in an industrial park that looks like most of the others that house breweries around here. Not too hard to find if you use GPS. It’s pretty bare bones at this point with maybe 6 chairs at the bar and not really anywhere else to sit. Decor was non-existent, and the brewery was viewable from the tasting area. There was only one other person in the place, but that was expected. These guys are brand new with most of the beers on the list being their first batches on the professional system. I counted 15 different beers, some of them being variants of the same barrel fermented Gose using different yeast blends. Those were super fun to try and compare how the different yeasts work. You don’t see that too often, especially from breweries that haven’t even been open a month. Major props for ambition. Also major props for making pretty clean and balanced sour beers. They weren’t perfect, but certainly drinkable. They also had a couple IPA’s and an oatmeal stout. I really regret not trying the 10.5% brett fermented Tequila barrel Gose...yes you read that correctly. The server was a super nice guy and knowledgeable about all the beers. He even gave me a few extra tastes in addition to my flight. Very cool guy. Overall, this was one of the best stops in Temecula with the most fun beers to try. I’ll be back.“

“Visited on a Wednesday evening on my tour through Temecula. It’s a little hard to find as its in another large, commercial looking industrial park. No signs out front, just on the door and it’s not exactly viewable from the street. Waze pretty much led me right too it though, so no problems there. Inside is much smaller than I expected from the pictures on Yelp, but nicely done with lots of wood and sort of an "Old West" feel to it. They had maybe six or seven seats at the bar and several small tables and chairs around. The service was good. Friendly enough. I actually ran into the bartender later that evening at Ballast Point and she was much friendlier off duty. They do pints and tasters here. I got a flight of about six of their beers. All were at least average with a couple above average. Good stuff. Overall, a solid, well designed yet small tasting room with good beers. Worth a stop.“

“Crush & Brew is located in Old Town Temecula, an area settled in 1859 with mostly historic buildings. This gastropub occupies one such building’s street level and boasts tall ceilings in a somewhat hipster atmosphere. The service was attentive though we visited between lunch and dinner on a Friday. The lunch menu is short and simple and I highly recommend the German Burger (Kobe beef, rolled pastrami, egg salad, red cabbage slaw, mustard). The beer list offers SoCal brews, about 24 in all.“

“Perhaps not the best representation of the place as we visited during Ironfire’s anniversary party, but here you have it...

Located in a large-ish shopping center off the freeway. Decor is pretty typical of your usual American Irish pub. It is quite large, though. Nice wooden interior/decor and a patio area. Big bar area, too. They also have a little area for live music, it seems.

The beer list during our visit was mostly Ironfire beers, including a number of specialty options, but in looking at their typical list since then, they seem to have a mix of your staples at this sort of place (Guinness, Smithwicks, etc.) and micros from the Temecula and San Diego areas. A handful of other things as well.

I usually scroll past these types of places, but it might actually be worth checking out.“

“Simple enough looking set up with barrel tables next to a little bar area and then a barrel aging area off in the back. I do like how a brewery essentially carves out space in the brewery amid the fermenter farm and bright tanks and such for the tasting area. There’s a little roll up door to the back where a catering truck has pulled up to fill the space with foodie delight aromatics. This is simple effective and sort of seems Alesmith like when I visited there 8 years ago. The help was friendly and seemed eager to hook you up with a beer. There seems to be an array of non barrel aged offers alongside a number of barrel aged offerings.“

“Visited May 10, 2014.

This is what opened after Grandadz shut down. It’s very open air and it looks like they’ve spent a decent amount of money on the place. I sat at the bar in the back which is shaded and next to the tables that are outside. They have a dozen taps to pick from of which a few were legitimately good but all of which were non-macros. They also have a few bottles to pick from. I don’t know if they do special beer events or anything like that as this was just to grab some lunch on my way to a new brewery opening. I went with an Anvil ESB and had a basket of fries. The fries were weird but pretty good. They had parmesan and sage or something odd on them. The regulars were nice people. They were talking about some kind of beer run around town that they do every so often. I guess they run from one bar to the next and have a beer at each one. Sounds like fun actually, just not in the heat of summer. Apparently one year they were using little piles of flour to mark the path and of course the police thought it was anthrax, haha. Needless to say they don’t do it that way anymore. Prices were a bit high and there are other restaurants in the immediate area that I want to check out first before I’d really want to come back here.“
