72 /100 Botega della Birra (Bar) VIA SAN NICOLA, 13 A good bar and bottle shop a bit away from vivid streets full of tourists. Very friendly staff, some very interesting Italian crafts at fair prices. Slovenian Reservoir Dogs present as well. Worth of a visit… |
52 /100 Vizi & Sfizi Belgarbo (Grocery Store) VIA FUORO 22 Huge tourist shop with all sorts of souvenirs and liquids, but not much beer. Around 3 Italian breweries available, not excessively expensive, although local beer still overpriced… |
72 /100 Botega della Birra (Bar) VIA SAN NICOLA, 13 Small bar and bottle shop, off the beaten path in Sorrento. Nicely laid out, and well lit. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Eight taps, and lots of quality bottles and can. The prices seem reasonable for the area, with higher prices to drink inside. |
66 /100 Vizi & Sfizi Belgarbo (Grocery Store) VIA FUORO 22 A sort of upmarket tourist/farm shop. Not a massive selection but the only place I came across that had local beers. So worth visiting when even the local craft bar only had two local bottles. This was a few years ago so hopefully things have improved. |
50 /100 Vizi & Sfizi Belgarbo (Grocery Store) VIA FUORO 22 Basically a big tourist shop. Had a small selection of local beers though - cheaper than most of the other shops. |
74 /100 Botega della Birra (Bar) VIA SAN NICOLA, 13 Quiet little bar away from the main streets. Only place Ive found for decent beer in Sorrento. Staff were friendly. Italian craft was featured highly, all of them were €7.50, which seems steep. Worth a visit to break away from the all inclusive lager. |
80 /100 Botega della Birra (Bar) VIA SAN NICOLA, 13 Visited April 2015 - just thought of looking it up. Beers can be bought to take away. Could have happily spent my honeymoon in this bar but that would have not have gone down well. Appeared to be the only place to get good beers in the area. Great bottle selection (including three 300 Beers To Try Before You Die ticks - a Westvleteren double and Xingu Black). Only loses points for the fact that there only 2 local beers and the one tap. However the latter reflects that it is a dinky little place. The owner was extremely helpful, as were other staff. They googled translations, discussed beers and so on. First time we went my wife was convinced it was not actually open yet and it was some sort of beer tasting class, but we still got served. Food is an afterthought - just ham and other nibbles. |
74 /100 Botega della Birra (Bar) VIA SAN NICOLA, 13 Wide selection of Belgium bottled beers but also some Italian craft beers. The owner seemed very knowledgable about the Italian beer scene. |
68 /100 Hotel Michelangelo (Bar) VIA CORSO ITALIA, 275 The two best things about this bar within the hotel are that it is in Italy and the barman Pepe, he is probably one of the best barmen I know. |
