78 /100 625 MAIN STREET Visited here on a Sunday afternoon in mid-August '22 after a day of hiking. Located a few doors down from San Luis Valley Brewing in downtown Alamosa. Small bar area, a few tables scattered about and some outdoor seating as well. Reminds me of a western saloon in a way. About ten of their own on tap, some boundary stretchers - I kept it close to the vest with a pale lager, brown ale, dry stout and an amber. They were average to above average. No food available. Friendly barkeeps, decent prices. Worth a stop. |
80 /100 631 MAIN ST Visited here on a Saturday night in mid-August '22 while on vacation. Downtown location, decent sized bar area, plenty of booths and tables and a few street front tables. Place was hopping on a Saturday night. Short list of their beers available, probably do not change that much from time to time, I had a Mexican lager, an IPA and an oatmeal stout, they were above average. Standard menu, burgers, sandwiches, salads, pastas, tacos and steaks. I had the green chili pasta and it was delicious. Attentive, friendly service. Recommended. |
72 /100 2070 CR 12 SOUTH Visited here on a Saturday night in mid-August '22 while on vacation. Located several miles outside of Alamosa on a farm. Wide-open space, indoors or out with a covered patio, no 'bar' to sit at which I prefer when by myself. There was live music and playground equipment for the kids. Good crowd for a Saturday with a lot of locals enjoying the music, the beer and the food truck. Had a good dozen or so of their own on tap, many styles represented. Had a porter and an APA - both were decent. Worth the drive if in the Alamosa area. |
72 /100 625 MAIN STREET Medium sized tap room with a bar on one side and some barrels on the other, bunch of tables in between. Sleek and modern with some rustic touches. Flights possible. The peanut butter stout was tasty. I don't remember any snacks. Decent enough stop. |
88 /100 2070 CR 12 SOUTH I love this place. It's an actual farm, middle of nowhere, pancake flat so you can watch storms slowly roll through from the massive patio. Nice covered patio can be rented out for events, and the rest of the beergarden is open to the stars. Taproom itself is small with a tiny serving bar and a few tables. Beers were well above average tasty and included a traditional sahti in a bag. Holy cow! Worth the long drive from anywhere near or far. |
74 /100 631 MAIN ST Stopped in for dinner and beers after visiting the local national park. Nice place, brewpub circa 2006. Staff were friendly food was excellent had a couple southwest type dishes. Had a couple of beers the oatmeal stout and the lager. Both good. Good place for food and beer. |
86 /100 631 MAIN ST This is a cool little brewpub, especially for a small town like Alamosa. The ambiance is pretty standard for this kind of restaurant, but it’s clean and inviting. The newspaper menus are cool. Our bartender was awesome. The beer list isn’t expansive and is pretty safe, but I was impressed with the quality of the lager I drank. The fish and chips were only $5 on happy hour and well worth that. Sure, it was tilapia, but the meal was cooked well. It was $5. To go beer is super cheap too. This is the obvious stop in Alamosa. |
88 /100 631 MAIN ST This seemed to be one of the nicest places in all of Alamosa. Great feel, great service, and very good beer. We had a few things off of the menu that were good, not great but other stuff looked pretty good. They roast their own coffee which is another plus. This is a must stop in Alamosa. |
50 /100 631 MAIN ST box store interior. 22 yr old kids behind the bar. beer is fairly poor across the board. |
54 /100 631 MAIN ST Beer, food, and service mediocre but for a small town it’s not a bad place. Actually I take that back, the salsa was really good. |
54 /100 631 MAIN ST The pub is beautiful and there is plenty to look at. However the beer is lousy! |
40 /100 631 MAIN ST This pub is very pretty, but the beer and food are less tan good. Their menu’s are really neat lloking, like old newspapers. Our service was as if we had none! My husband had to go find our server to ask for refills of wate again later when we wanted our bill & a box to go. And a third time to ask for a box again since he forgot the box the first time. The beer is very "trendy" if you ask me. They did not have much to choose from by they had several homemade soda’s. So maybe they are going to be a soda company and not a brewery!! |
