“so, stopped into and ordered some food. server said they had four beers on tap so i ordered the flight. turns out that the whole flight is Deschutes and Full Sail beers! They lost their brewer and have no beers of their own!!! What a disappointment. And so upsetting the server didnt mention this before we ordered either the food or beer. We'd already ordered food and so it was too late to leave. The food was good but a bit expensive. A pricey excursion to a brewery with no beer. infuriating really.“

“Nice little place. The owner, a guy named Hutch, is the only person who works here. He tells me that he never brews the same beer twice. Good luck keeping track of this places beers.“

“Just moved to Colorado so my basis of comparisons are the San Diego liquor stores and this one just does not measure up. Decent selection of wines, average selection of whiskey, but craft beer selection in is not to my liking. Perhaps I will soften my stance over time.“

“Visited here for lunch in May ’15 while on a business trip. Located in an absolutely gorgeous restored old hotel in downtown Ouray - be sure to check out the lobby. Has a nice outdoor seating area as well with an amazing view of the mountains. In the summer they have BBQ from Welded Elephant BBQ and it is smoked right there outside - smells and tastes amazing. I had Texas brisket - outstanding. Had about 10 beers on tap - most from the local area - I had one from SKA brewing. A must visit if in the area - not so much for the beer but for thee food and ambiance. .“

“Visited here in late May ’15 while on a business trip. Fun brewpub with a casual, light and airy atmosphere. Has two levels and a deck. Have about eight of their beers on tap. All I sampled here and in a can later were pretty solid. Very friendly talkative services. Food was promptly served and pretty decent - typical brewpub fare - I had the Southwestern Burger and it was quite tasty.“

Ouray Liquors (Beer Store)

“Visited here in late May ’15 while on a business trip. Small, quaint little liquor store located in downtown Ouray. Has plenty of Colorado beers, many from the southwestern part of the state - even a few from Utah. Have a few single, crowlers and bombers in the coolor - that is what I was there for. Picked up a few from the Telluride area and was on my way. Friendly service - not overbearing. Decent prices.“

“Visited here in late May ’15 during a business trip. Odd place - you walk in and the brewer just kind of points to the sign behind the bar and reminds you that it is cash only. Interesting music playing in the background. Had about eight beers on tap - the two I had were pretty solid - a stout and a Rauchbier. Huge servings - 20 oz for only $5.50. Worth a stop - if only to see if you can get the bartender/brewer to engage in conversation - he lightens up after a while!“

“Nice little place with really cool atmosphere. Bar stools are swings that look like ski lifts. Service was really nice. About 10-12 of their beers on tap. Prices were average. Overall, liked the atmosphere, prices were good. I imagine the place is impossible to get a seat at during the summer or the ice festival. Also, food looked amazing!“

“My favorite pub in Ouray. Great beer and atmosphere that’s eclectic and relaxing. I had the well balanced IPA and the clean, roasty Stout. Mr. Grumpy Pants is a riot and not for the meek of heart and mind. No food but you can bring your own. “

“the smashed kayak draws the beer drinker in. The beer good - the choco brown ale was tasty. Reminds me of the old Bardo’s in Arlington VA.“

“NOT much of a brewery! It’s a large home brew kit thats he’s trying to sell as a microbrewery. The bartender/owner sits behind the bar on a swing! However he knows nothing about his own brews. We asked what style of hops was used in the Amber and his answer was "not sure, just what ever I had that handy that day". Go back to homebrewing in the garage!!“

“Great place for a beer. On a side street, very quaint. Has a good variety. I tried the five he had at the time, liked the dark the best, forgot the name. Nice guy to talk to...great atmosphere. Like going into a guy’s basement with a bar. A must if you visit Ouray. After a hard day’s Jeepin’, definitely the place to go!“

“Best place in town to come, relax, have a beer, and talk to cool people. If your the kinda person that likes to just chill and have a good time then you have to stop into this place. Definitely the coolest place in town. The Ultimate man cave so to speak a home made bar with all the works and gimmicks one could want. Plenty of board games and such to keep even the boringest of people entertained. Just a man making home brew and serving in to patrons. To anyone who is a beer aficionado the owner of this joint has hit the main nerve.“

“A tiny little liquor store that definitely holds its value in beer for such a location. Victory Dogfish, Lots of Colorado brew. Worth stopping in to checkout the selection.“
