“Standard Old Chicago just off US 36. Usual large tap list, microbrews but nothing special. Service is adequate.“

“Large bottle shop, just of US 36. Convenient location and friendly staff, generally fairly knowledgeable. Good craft beer selection, though Hazel’s and Liquor Mart carry most everything they have. Decent prices.“

“Small bottle shop next to Safeway. Friendly staff. Fairly small craft beer selection, more focus on wine and liquor. Prices are a little on the high side, likely due to small volume of turnover. Convenient but limited.“

“Not the fanciest or most helpful place to buy your beer, but they have three times the selection of bombers as Wilburs, and much better prices and sales. Great if you know what you want or you are just browsing and do not need any recommendations.“

“large liquor store just off the freeway. good selection of single bottles/mix six. some imports, plenty of the usual colorado beers, and quite a bit of stuff from california. prices are okay for the most part, but some things seemed a little on the high side.“

“Visited October 9, 2013.

Superior is located right off the freeway and next to an Old Chicago. We stopped in on the way to Denver from Boulder and to get some lunch. This is a large liquor store with a lot of beer available in addition to wine and liquor. Plenty of locals to be found including some New Belgium, Avery, and a lot of the newer breweries that are starting to bottle and can stuff. They also have some of the more expensive California beers like Bruery and the Eclipse series. I found it interesting that the Eclipse variations on the shelf (for $31.99) were the ones that everyone was hyping last year (Old Fitzgerald and the wheat whiskey one). They also have a couple of aisles with bottles and 12 packs on the shelves. The service was helpful but I wasn’t really looking for any help. Nice store and right off the highway but a bit out of the way from Boulder and Denver. “

“Stopped by here in late October ’11. Place was a blessing as it was almost 11:00 and it was either here or fast food. Typical Old Chicago - good place for an out of towner to pick up a rating or two. Had about 15 or 20 local taps - some of them seem to rotate with the seasons. Prices are kind of high - $4.99 for a pint in most cases. Food is good and filling like most Old Chicago’s. Not worth going out of your way for - but a good standby for a late night dinner stop for weary travelers. Thumping music could be turned down a little bit (Get off my lawn!).“

“Stopped by here in late October ’11 on a weekend trip to see Oregon play Colorado. The place is amazing. Hundreds of bombers, singles, imports, locals - you name it - they’ve got it. Have about four or five cooler doors dedicated to nothing but singles - mix and match six packs at various prices and they are quite a bargain. I walked out of there with at least 15 and my bill was barely $20. All the major west coast brewers are represented here. Friendly staff - even showed me how to save money by buying two more beers to round out one of the sixers and actually pay less. If in the Boulder area - worth the short drive down here.“

“If you are looking for a nice beer bar go somewhere else. If you are interested in kids parties and sports on TV, accompanied with a good beer, you may find this chain restaurant acceptable. They offer around 15 taps of local micros as well as some good bottles from around the country. The rest of the beer selection is not worth mentioning. I am sure he overattentive kid waiter followed company policy when he served a perfectly good porter in a super cold bottle and a frosted mug. Would you like some icecubes in your wine, sir?“

“As a foreigner you get amazed by the size of this store, it packs enough alcohol to get the entire population of CO liqoured up. There is cooler space with beer almost as far eye can see, 15 meter (?) of this space is stocked with real beer, the rest is filled with the kind of stuff I am embarrassed to be seen holding in my hand. The majority of the micros are regional. The store could easily improve their selection for mix and match sixpacks, as well as speciality beers.“

“There’s a pretty decent selection of bombers and a great mixer sixer selection but overall, there’s plenty of better stores to hit in the Boulder-Denver area.“

“Another typical, grocery-store sized CO liquor store, with the ambiance and location to match that theme - right off the highway 36, so it has that going for it - a bunch of wall coolers full of beer, but a great deal of them are crammed with suitcases of macro crap - the selection of craft and imports is respectable, and they have a few Cantillon’s, which is always a bonus - they also carry some of the Medovina Mead, which, surprisingly, not all that many area liquor stores do - the unfortunate part is that there are many other stores close by with larger selections (Total Beverage in Westminster, Liquor Barn in Boulder, etc.) so unless you live close by, or happen to be in the area, this is probably not worth a stop for you - however, this can be said of a lot of decent stores - they can’t all be "destination" stores.“

“Typical Old Chicago full of sports and beer decor. Service was fast and courteous at the bar. Typical Old Chicago beer selection lots of choices but nothing that stands out. Pizza is great. Not a bad deal but nothing to go out of the way for.“

“looks, smells, tastes, feels and hears like every other godawful old chicago on the planet. pro tip: from the freeway go south until you get to the light, then take a left and enter the strip-mall complex where this old chicago exists, then go spend your money at superior liquor and go home. ಠ_ಠ“

“Nice big store, with good prices. For a store this size the beer selection is kind of plain. Not weorth the drive if you are looking to find the rare brews.“

“Superior Liquor has a decent selection of micros and imports, as well as a singles and bombers of some of the more common stuff (Colorado brews, DFH, etc.), but what really stands out is their keg room and keg prices. You can walk in the cooler and check out all the kegs they have available, which is usually a relatively good selection. The prices are pretty good, especially for crappy beer if you are having a keggar. $20 for a half-keg? Count me in. If the keg prices weren’t so cheap I probably would not g there often, though, especially with stores like Liquor Max and Wilburs being closer.“

“Very large liquor store with the focus being on wine and then liquor and finally beer. The beer is located in wall coolers that occupy 1/2 of the interior wall space. Most of the stuff you can find in the cooler in cases. Selection is slanted towards US micros with a few Germans and Belgians, although not near the selection of Liquor Mart in Boulder. However, they did have Avery Meph when most others had run out. That part is current as of this rating and is subject to change rapidly.“

“Somewhat limited singles in the coolers, but not too bad. Rare that you will find anything different, but I think this is the only place I’ve ever seen that Roy’s beer from Mehana (though I don’t think there’s any left now). Maybe worth a stop if it’s convenient for you, but if you’re already going to Wilburs, Liquor Max, Liquor Mart, Total Beverage, or Davidsons...well...there’s not much point.“

“A big store in a WalMart, Target, Applebees suburban strip mall area... a huge store but most of that is wine... beer is in the wall coolers, but their selection isn’t nearly as good as Liquor Mart in Boulder.... however, they do have some bottles that Liquor Mart does not, so it’s worth stopping in to find a couple of items.“
