“I start saying that this is one good place in Italy! I’ve been here in 1999 and so I was particularly pleased to come back in the dawn of 2008. The place is very cosy and warm, with the interior decorated with warm wood, and overall very nice. A rarity among Italian brewpubs, Il Vecchio Birraio offers a higher number of tap beers, also beyond the classic Blond/Amber/White choice. Ask carefully for the bottles, as they usually have both growlers and extra beers not available on tap. We tried only one plate, it was some filled pasta. I got the impression, from the plate and from the menu, that they propose some interesting food. It may require a car to find, as it is located in a village some 15 km north of Padova. Some of their bottles may be found in restaurants in the region (I found 2 in a restaurant in Mira, close to Venice).“
