“This is a pretty large place, clean and modern on the inside, nice tree shaded patio in front, plus tables on a rooftop deck which were closed when I visited. A dozen or so beers on offer, mostly hazy IPAs with not a single West Coast IPA on the list. But I did find enough to fill a flight of four including a very tasty classic Black IPA. Kitchen is closed, they had no wifi and I had no cell phone signal (many Canadians are still without power 10 days after a derecho, that might be it), so it was not a good day for eating, rating beer, or seeing what other restaurants in the area had on offer. And I did find one, stay tuned. Staff were pleasant enough but seemed a bit indifferent. AN OK stop off route 50.“

“One of my regular stops from Montreal back to Ottawa, via the 50. Many visits confirm this is a must in Quebec. Strong skills with IPAs , sour and imperials. Taster is 4 X 4 for 12$. Good food menu with delicious soup and burgers.“

“Visited on October 12, 2019, in the afternoon. It has been just over a decade since the only brewery of any kind in this town, Les Brasseurs Qui Fument, was closed, so it's a very re welcome addition to the Laurentien beer scene. Located in the heart of downtown Lachute, just a few 100 meters east from the first brewpub, it was a clothing store, between a church and restaurant. The brewpub is named after Sir John Johnson, 2nd Baronet of New York, he was a Loyalist leader during the American Revolution, British Loyalist/provincial military officer, a politician in Canada and a wealthy landowner, he owned the seigneurie of Argenteuil (which Lachute was part of). A very comfortable pub, farley large terrasse with the view of the bustling main street, cosy interior and easy access. Nice little tap selection for a young brewery, although mostly pale ales, I went for the stout which was good. They do have food but I only had some nuts. Very good service. And improvement from the first brewpub!“
