“Where to start? Place was full, but not packed. Empty tables were still full of last customer stuff. Took me about 10 minutes to get any staff attention. At least they were helpful enough to guide me to the nearest shop which sold their beers in bottles (no bottles on site). I left as quickly as possible and probably will never come back. Avoid!“

“8 beers on tap, nothing really standing out, although all drinkable. Nice location and beautiful drive to get there. Only food we ordered where appetizers.“

“Spectacular setting. Large, but surprisingly empty, outdoor patio. Beers are a bit thin, but drinkable.“

“Visited on a monday afternoon. Absolutely beautiful location on île d’Orléans, probably one of Quebec’s best and most popular agro-tourism locations. The pub is about a 25 minute drive from downtown Quebec City and really easy to find (just off the (one and only) main road). The pub is spacious. The selection was OK. They have their 6 regular beers on tap, with 2 of their seasonal beers available in 500 ml bottles. 5 oz taster glasses are available, as well as 10 and 16 oz glasses. They offer a good variety of different foods, with a lot of local products, for a very good price (especially considering the touristy nature of the island). Value is good on both food and beer. They don’t brew mind blowing beers, but everything is good and the place is definitely worth a trip.“

“A gorgeous little pub on Orleans Island. In the Summer, their terrasse is a definite MUST. They have a great selection of beers, from maple red to scotch ale and imperial stout (unfortunately, their delicious double IPA was not available when I went). Food is quite Okay for a pub, a bit pricey but still honest. Service was a tad bit on the slow side the one time I stopped by, though...“

“Nice looking place, great location. L’ile D’orleans is beautiful. They have a great patio overlooking the Fleuve St’Laurent, its a spectacular view. The staff was very nice, and friendly. They had 5 of their own beers on tap, but no tasting trays. So I had their scotch ale, and my wife had their wit. Both were nice. I didnt have any food, but the place was packed so i assume it’s decent.“

“Nice terrace. All sampled I had were well made. Be sure to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful view. The service was friendly and fast. Close to Quebec city which is a major plus. The best place to drink near the historic town.“

“We were there on a very misty early winter day. Nevertheless, the view over the clouded St.Lawrence felt mystical. The beers were pleasant enough, 5 of them, not very adventurous, but their new Extra Stout was solid and a proof of their desire to go beyond the ordinary. Pleasant tavern where a fireplace would fit nicely. The crowd consists mostly of locals. Not particularly knowledgeable service, but more than happy to let us know about their new offering. Not hugely beer-focused, but probably more interesting than any of the surrounding cideries. All in all, a fine experience besides our difficulty to get out of the slidy parking lot!“

“Goldorak’s review pretty much says it all: great view from the terrace, nice enough wooden bar, very simple beer selection (although mine were all clean and drinkable), a friendly but not knowledgeable waitress, etc. Because the beers were decent, I’ll come back when I’m on Orleans Island, but I won’t be going out of my way for a pint here. They now bottle most of their beers, by the way. Amongst all the cideries, cassic liqueur makers, wineries, and other artisans on this island, this one doesn’t stand out much so far.“

“The setting of the Pub is just perfect a nice view of the St-Laurence river. I was there in the summer so we were on the terrace. The service was go and the beer I had only one, but it was good and the owner was very pleasant to talk to. I look forward to going again next summer.“

“As you walk up the stairs and enter, you notice the very dark mahogany varnished tables and bar, and a red carpeted pool table gives a nice contrast. The real kicker here is the large patio that goes around half the second floor. The view of the river and fields all around is breathtaking. Crowd consisted of a few tourists and one or two local barflies. Simple pub fare like nachos and panini pressed sandwiches. Beer list had 4 choices listed as regular offerings, the very paint-by-numbers White, Blonde, Red and Amber. I asked the waitress if they had any seasonals, they had a fruity type Beer that I can’t recall, and a cream ale that I ended up ordering, but the way she explained it I thought it was a Stout. “It’s like Guinness” were her exact words. Oh well. She said this was only her second day on the job. The Wit that our traveling partner ordered was acidic, had zero head and had pretty obvious infection issues. My cream ale was passable at best. Pints were around 6$, a little steep considering how underwhelming they were. Unless it’s a case of a beginner brewmaster realizing that large scale brewing is a whole different ballgame, I guess I’ll have to chalk this place down as yet another brewpub that seems all sizzle and no steak, where décor and ambiance take center stage and Beer quality takes a back seat.“
