60 /100 Super U (Various Locations) (Grocery Store) SUPER U In Brittany the Super U was stocked well with ciders from the area and Normandy as well. All very cheap and some quite decent. Beers from local breweries as well, some in mixed gift packs. Most breweries in the area brew the traditional French triplet of blonde, ambree & brun, so that’s a bit boring. |
58 /100 Super U (Various Locations) (Grocery Store) SUPER U Basically what Countbeer says. Different locations often have regional beers, the only downside is that they are mostly in 6-packs so you can’t get a single bottle to try. Lots of weird Belgian stuff, shitty French macro’s and lots of malt liquors. Good selection of ciders too, no serieus craft stuff, but very drinkeable cheap ones. Lots of locations of this supermarket now also have a cooler full of vegan sandwiches and salads which is a nice bonus! |
60 /100 Super U (Various Locations) (Grocery Store) SUPER U Been to a variety of Super U’s in France and saw, especially beer wise, they support some of the local breweries. Prices for the beers they sell are probably a bit cheaper. Prices in general a bit higher. Still €4 to €6 for a 75cl of local craft beer isn’t expensive at all... Selection of beers is pretty ok, micro’s and macro’s next to eachother but of course micro’s are growing fast and super markets like Super U can’t deny the interest in good beer and hence a well choosen local selection with some world macro’s and bigger French beers next to the micro’s as well. Also lot of ciders to choose from as well as wines, liquors and other stuff. And of course tons of food! |
