76 /100 Le Chopp'in (Beer Store) 17 AVENUE DE LA TIBOURGERE During a "road-trip" in Vendée :) Nice beer store/bar. Not so easy to find with the address ; near "Jouet Club", that will help you ! The owner is friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful. He has a nice selection (maybe 300 beers) with some nice craft beers. French selection is really good (Popihn, La Débauche, some Piggy Brewing, Hoppy Road, Azimut, and also local breweries (Namnet and Grand Zig) ; belgian classics of course and international interesting craft beers (Cierzo, Dry & BItter, Garage (1!), Frau Burger) and a few ciders. Beers on tap were belgian classics (not really interesting, there was 1 or 2 french beers, nice touch though). In the fridge, more interesting because he had a sample of the beers in the store. I tasted a Garage session-IPA. "Wooden-barrel spirit" in the tasting area ; too much barrels not easy to walk... Ok prices. I will come back ! |
64 /100 La Cervoiserie des Herbiers (Beer Store) 3 RUE DE LA NOUE Between Cholet and La Roche-sur-Yon, near Le Puy du Fou. Beerstore and bar in a big warehouse like VandB. Mostly belgian classic ales, some french local beers (La Musse and Mélusine), a few american and german too. Friendly staff. Clean, maybe too clean... Easy to park. I drank a Timmermans Tradition Kriek Lambicus, ok. |
