“Called into this 2019 Good Beer Guide pub, and what a sight along the bar with an array of cask beers. It is a B&T pub and there were 3 of their beers on, plus Clearwater Mariners, Trumans Zephyr, Oxford Craft Beer (Shotover) Triploid, Brunswick Offilers Nut Brown, Bath Frosty Hare. Colchester Brass Monkey and Everards Tiger. It is a true locals pub too, and would be great to live close to. Lovely atmosphere and good service for the 20 of us that turned up. We sampled and enjoyed 5 of the beers on offer.“

“One of the more curiously named Wetherspoon pubs, and probably its most interesting aspect as I doubt the actor ever made it to Dunstable during his lifetime, however this is a family link which you can read on a framed piece of historical information at the end of the smaller section of the L-shaped bar. This pub has a slightly strange location, set well back from the main road opposite an ASDA superstore with large car parking areas all around it. It’s in a modern new building with huge glass windows and a very high ceiling that includes a large metal air conditioning unit hanging down from it. The look and furniture is pretty standard here though with mainly rows of tables and chairs very much suited for dining or simple drinking, and the latter was very much in full swing by a young crowd on the Friday night I stopped here.“

“This is a proper pub. Decent selection of ales, good atmosphere. I tried beers from Tring on my visit.“

“A ’King’s Feast’ (cheap food) pub, looks a bit identikit despite the age of the building. Two taps (Tring when I arrived), surprisingly good. Looks like your best bet on Dunstable’s barren High Street.“

“Best pub for Real Ale in Dunstable. Generally serves 5 Banks & Taylors Ales as well as a host of other British beers and a selection of European bottles. Also sells European/British lagers.“
