“Quaint thatched place that is now a gastro-pub. This place struggled for years under Charles Wells ownership until it was bought & turned into a free house. The food has an excellent reputation. Unfortunately, given the situation with Covid there is not a lot of beer pouring there right now.“

“Once a standard Charles Wells village pub, the Sun closed earlier this year. It looked like that would be that, another pub turned into a private house. Instead, it has been bought & is now run as a true freehouse. At time of visit it was still a work in progress - only the back bar was open and no food yet - but it has already become a lively village local. Wells Eagle and two guests: one local-ish and one coming from further afield. A winning combination.“
