“Cosy pub, with a real fire burning. Prompt service, and the staff knew the names of some of the locals, which would be more expected in a village pub, rather than one in a market town. Beer in good condition. A decent sized patio at the back, mostly under awnings, and ashtrays were provided in this area. Recommended.“

“Large interior with a similarly large patio area at the back, some of which is covered. Relatively small cask beer choice, but beer was indecent condition & service was prompt. Busy mid afternoon on a Saturday.“

“Enjoyed our visit to this busy microbar which features in the 2019 Good Beer Guide. Beers on offer were Oakham Dragon in Bavaria and also Green Devil, Chiltern 300s Old Ale and Honey Porter. We had the Honey Porter which was fine. Also serve bottled beers, cider and wine, and various snacks. “

“Enjoyed our visit to this friendly 2019 Good Beer Guide pub entry where we found plenty of cask ales on offer. Elgoods Mortal Wombat and Cambridge Bitter, Nethergate Eons Milk Stout and Suffolk County, Butcombe Gold, Oakham Bishops Finger, Black Country BFG and Bass. If that is not enough choice over 100 bottled beers both British and Continental.“

“The bar of this brewery is a 2019 Good Beer Guide entry, and it is only open Fridays and Saturdays. There were cask and keg beers and also plenty of bottles and cans to purchase. We enjoyed their Captain Cook and Corporal Rogers beers.“

“Superb attention given to the range of casks, gravity fed in a temperature/humidity controlled "cellar" visible behind glass from the bar. Very small but very cosy and friendly micro-pub.“

“I stopped in on a recent visit to Leighton Buzzard. It was a Friday night so quite busy. The help was friendly but at times a bit confused trying to keep up. They had, I believe, 10 hand pumps. Some decent stuff in the mix and it seems that this is a worthy stop.“

“I popped in during a recent ’Spoons festival. It was a rather busy Friday evening and the place was hopping. The service was good though. They had around 10 hand pumps going. Some usual suspects but with the festival on there were plenty of decent choices. Seems to be a typical ’Spoons so nothing to get too excited about but is worth a stop if you are in the area. The toilets seemed to be through a labyrinth of upstairs corridors which was quite interesting.“

“Had a nice visit this past weekend. 5 gravity casks in very good condition, a handful of bottles and ciders are available. A limited food menu is also available. Very friendly proprietors and local ale drinkers where there during my visit. I will certainly stop by again.“

“Typical ’spoons conversion of a town centre hotel. Beer was in good nick. Not sure if the chap next to me "podged" the queue but I will give the benefit of the doubt....Or is this the new etiquette in these establishments? A good barman would know the score. New brewery tick for me (White Park).“
