76 /100 UNIT 6, TRINITY PLACE, PARK STREET Opened mid 2022 in a brand new unit. A modern, colourful bar with plenty of seats indoors and a small terrace at the front for the summer months. They have 14 taps and four hand pulls with around 200 cans and bottles. Friendly and very helpful staff. An awesome addition to the beer scene in Maidenhead and now clearly the first bar to visit for any tourist. |
68 /100 Off The Tap (Bar) 105 HIGH STREET A rather rustic old skool boozer that converted to a more upmarket craft beer and burger bar in 2017, but clearly retains some of it's past history. In addition to the selection of mass market beers, there is a small but quality selection of draft beers. They also have a good selection of 30+ cans and bottles too. Friendly staff. Fine during the day, but not a place I would want to spend an evening at. |
62 /100 Off The Tap (Bar) 105 HIGH STREET Modern craft pub. Some of the beers are only available in a vending machine that takes cash only (it seems rather pointless). Staff didn’t know the bottle list too well - asked if they gad any black IPAs and was told that they didn’t, only to discover one in the aforementioned vending machine after ordering. Selection is mainly UK craft. |
74 /100 22 OLDFIELD ROAD A Greene King pub which also serves guest beers and real ciders. Two rooms and a suntrap garden area. Enjoyed two beers from Stardust brewery. |
60 /100 Bear (JDW) (Bar) 8-10 HIGH STREET The Bear is very promising from the outside as it looks like an old coaching inn but inside, apart from the rather nice gallery, it’s just a typical ‘spoons (albeit without wall to wall carpeting, which is a plus). The other plus was the beer range - ten casks, more than half of which were local guests.
