64 /100 THE STREET,
“A pleasant country pub that has been rescued by the local community when faced with closure. Now fully renovated. It is primarily a foodie place, but does have 3 handpumps serving local ales (Stardust, Rebellion etc). An excellent garden makes this a good place for a summer visit, with the chance of a rate.“

66 /100 THE STREET,
“Visited for Sunday lunch on 13/12/15. Located in the centre of the village, the Shurlock Inn is a traditional country pub that was doing a booming lunchtime trade. Beer wise there are 4 cask lines plus macro tosh. Good to see local breweries being supported in the form of Windsor & Eton, Rebellion (Marlow) and West Berkshire allied to the ubiquitous Doom Bar. The venue is split into two rooms, one primarily for dining but the front room has about 4 cosy tables and is also dog friendly where we chose to eat. Food was decent, standard Sunday roast options which were plentiful and other less formal pub food, fish and chips, home made burgers etc. Service was prompt (drinks at table even in the bar) and friendly. Decent sized beer garden and kids play area to the rear. Overall a cracking little country boozer, good food and 3 local brewers represented on the cask lines. Also worth noting, the Shurlock Inn is a little over one mile from The Bell in Waltham St Lawrence.“
