| 50 /100 Wheatsheaf Inn (Bar) 15 CHAPEL STREET “Driving into Thatcham and the town seemed quite rundown, as did this pub. Perhaps a 40s or 50's pebble dashed building with numerous signed plastered all over the front of it. It just looked uninviting. Inside and the floor has white tiles so it looks like some cheap holiday resort bar. The dour Scotsman behind the bar was equally uninviting. Other than the macro lagers there are two handpumps. One was off but the other serves the house beer from local outfit Delphic. And now that I have ticked them off I have no reason to come back to this pub or town again. I was the only customer.“ |
