68 /100 Taste@Rheged (Grocery Store) RHEGED CENTRE, REDHILLS Not very far West off the M6 along the A66, this place is like a road services with a cinema. The setup is similar with a grocery store in one part that has plenty of bottles and cans, and lots of local stuff. |
76 /100 Taste@Rheged (Grocery Store) RHEGED CENTRE, REDHILLS Just off the M6 junction 40 where it crosses for A66 going towards Keswick. Cultural centre hidden inside converted lime pits, cafe shop on the ground floor has an extensive selection of Cumbrian beers and also a Cumbrian cider. Play area outside for the kids, also a cinema and craft shops inside. Well worth visiting when in the area. |
72 /100 Taste@Rheged (Grocery Store) RHEGED CENTRE, REDHILLS Thanks to the previous reviewer for highlighting this hidden gem. A shop and coffee shop combined. The beer is within an area where there are also locally produced jams and honey. I found 49 Cumbrian beers that were new to me and there was representation from several other English counties. The staff were helpful by providing 3 boxes to carry the beer in and a trolley to move to the car. Definitely worth a detour off the M6. |
78 /100 Taste@Rheged (Grocery Store) RHEGED CENTRE, REDHILLS Part of the visitor attraction, just off the M6 Junction 40. Situated on the ground floor, there’s a great range of Cumbrian bottled beers, complimented superbly by some of the best of the new wave of UK brewers, including Buxton, Siren, Kernel, Beavertown. Well worth a call in and bringing a bit more choice to north west Cumbria |
