68 /100 BRACKENRIGG INN,
“In a lonely spot on the main road towards the Northern end of Ullswater the pub commands fine views of this part of the Lake District from its front terrace. Inside it's traditional in design and a nice place to stop, even better it sells its own beers and will have a selection on cask, with its own bottles also on sale, which allowed me to sample the lightest brew on cask and take away the heavier options for later sampling.“

62 /100 BRACKENRIGG INN,
“Located with a great view of Ullswater, when we went for a family lunch the bar seemed suddenly overwhelmed by several groups of people arriving at the same time. One very useful member of staff seemed to be giving induction training to the other staff member who also seemed to have some difficulties with English. So, on this occasion service was slow. The food was high quality pub grub. Two of the Brack n Brew beers were on tap along with one from Carlisle brewery. The beers seemed in good condition though the stout was definitely too cold and improved down the glass. Though in good condition their own beers seemed just a little uninspiring in their recipes. In summary, I’m glad I visited as the overall experience was pleasant. There is probably no reason to return however as have now had two of their beers.“
