64 /100 Bradwell Village Shop (Grocery Store) NETHERSIDE So, this is the village shop that also houses the post office. Loads of local produce such, as local butchery available in chillers. A generally great backer of local businesses. An area towards the counter holds beers from 4 Derbyshire breweries plus beer from another 3 or 4 English breweries. A great little find! |
58 /100 Olde Bowling Green Inn (Bar) SMALLDALE A lovely old pub in the very quaint village of Bradwell. About 3 cask ales available - service was polite and the carvery was definitely worth it. A large green area at the back for sitting and playing. |
62 /100 Shoulder Of Mutton (Bar) CHURCH STREET On day of visit it was the Bradwell carnival and so was incredibly busy. Three of the lines were cask and the rest keg. Of the three, one seemed to be permanently Tetley Bitter, but that might not necessarily be the case. Anyway, the other two seemed to rotate quickly and I managed 3 rates over a few hours. Re the food on the day there was a pizza oven which wouldn’t be reflective of the normal fayre so cannot comment. The place does have the feel of having very regular punters and the ambience is good. Good value and service, as with most of Northern England. A good option if in Bradwell. |
