78 /100 Black Bulls Head (Bar) 2 KILBURN LANE The best of both worlds. A traditional pub that serves great beer. The two-room pub was quiet on my visit, but it still felt friendly and welcoming. They're mostly a cask pub, with nine handpulls. Three Oakham (including Green Devil!) as well as other breweries such as RedWillow, Bad Seed, Whim and Tiny Rebel. One craft keg (from Tyneside's Errant) adds to the drinker's choice. A pretty top place all things considered. A short bus trip out of Belper. |
80 /100 Black Bulls Head (Bar) 2 KILBURN LANE Yet another fine addition to this area of Debyshire, as I’ve mentioned before the Belper, Kilburn, Horsley Woodhouse and surrounding area has an embarrassing good amount of top quality pubs. We visited (me, dad & Barry) here on Thursday 15th March 2012. I understand that this pub has only recently re-opened and with eight handpumps including the likes of Oakham, Marble served in excellent nick this is another cracker. The staff and punters were friendly and good fun. Two main bars with one large open fire in one of them. Really liked this place. |
