“Visited in 2012, stopped for an early evening meal and it was packed with families on a weekday evening. Facing a large and busy road junction, this is an early 20th century traditional pub in style, large enough to be a Wetherspoon pub and carrying the usual selection of ales seen in these pubs. In the north-west suburbs of Plymouth so not overly useful if you are only visiting the city centre but handy if you’re off to Home Park which is a short walk away.“

“Altogether more than 30 draught beers, including ten cask ales. Fair range of bottles, as well. A rather typical JDW in an old building. Busy and popular by all kinds on people on a Saturday eve. My large mixed grill dish was very satisfying. Friendly service. Located a bit north of the train station (Visited with Finn, 24.09.2016).“

“Community, modern pub in Stone Village, northwest of the city center. Seven hand pumps with ales from Skinner’s, Bays, and Dartmoor among others, added by a few ciders. The usual fizzy stuff on keg. Large beer garden in the backyard. Popular on a Saturday early eve. Polite service. Should be good for food (Visited with Finn, 24.09.2016).“
