“Great local place with a huge and ever changing selection of mostly english beers. It has a great vibe and hosts a variety of events. Great hidden gem of East London.“

“A true Wetherspoons shocker. Beer not available on some pumps but doesn’t say coming soon. The 2 beers I tried were both off so I guess they don’t sell much real ale here even at £2.05 per pint in London! Service was Ok, ambiance was OK but if you want a beer then steer clear.“

“An ordinary traditionally styled Wetherspoon pub that’s fairly small in size with comfortable enough furnishings. It does have what could be considered a decent setting in what is a very dense urban area located directly next to a church and its churchyard offering up some much needed greenery to this area. The rear garden area certainly benefits from this making it a prime place for outside drinking and dining if the season allows. Ales are on a couple of rows of pumps at the curved bar. Canadians might be interested in this place given its named after him of Hudson Bay infamy and there’s information and maps on the walls to back it up.“
