62 /100 Albion Tap (Bar) 72 HIGH STREET Corner venue in the heart of Uppermill on the main road. More bar than pub despite the heavy use of wood in design and furniture and exposed brickwork on its window side. Two local cask on its metallic service area are backed up by three craft keg options over eight taps, so plenty of macro available too. |
64 /100 7 CHURCH LANE High on the hill north-east of Uppermill, just make a beeline for the imposing church up here as understandably it's right next to this, and has plenty of car parking and outdoor areas. Inside it's a cosy traditional carpeted pub with open fire at one side. Mainly setup for food with the phone ringing for reservations whilst I was supping one of its two brewpub ales on amongst more guests. There's a couple of extras rooms at its side for overspill of diners. |
68 /100 Albion Tap (Bar) 72 HIGH STREET One roomed craft bar in the center of uppermill. There were 4 beers on cask and eight on keg when I visited. donkeystone were well represented and their was a half decent selection of cans bottles from the likes of thornbridge magic rock. |
62 /100 7 CHURCH LANE On the road high above Uppermill with great views down, Saddleworth brewpub the church inn sits looks like it hasn't changed in years which in this case is good 5 of there own beers on cask and the usual mainstream culprits. Food was pub grub but be warned the portions were Hugh. |
