| 62 /100 Qwerty Beer Box (Internet-based) HOLCOMBE FARM “This is one of those sites that sell curated boxes of beer, the idea being that they are supporting local craft brewers with different boxes for different regions: Cotswolds, Bristol, Devon and Cornwall options at the moment. I only ordered from them because I had £50 of Amazon vouchers and thought I'd but some beer as well as CDs. Ordered a Best of South West lagers box. Not entirely happy because one of the two Utopian beers ended up being left out and instead there were two of the Powderkeg Pilseners. In fact the leaflet that came with the box mentions a Tapestry beer which must have run out and been substituted with the second Utopian beer. For my two Powderkeg beers is very much a second rate substitution. On the other hand there were some née brewery ticks for me in the boxes, it's just that this was the one that was within budget and (falsely)promised all new ticks. Possibly a good idea for people after new region ticks, even if the range of breweries are not all that exciting. The other breweries in my box were Wild Beer, St Ives, Cotswold and Exeter.“ |
