“We caught a bus from Southampton Railway Station which dropped us off pretty close to our first stop of the day. This is a lovely little micro-pub on a busy road in the Woolston area. Really friendly and helpful girls who were running the pub, very patient too. There are about 5 hand pulls in operation plus a good range of key-kegs. The seating is fairly basic, converted casks. It's well worth going over the bridge to visit.“

“Shop unit micropub well presented with comfy benches and converted keg barrel stools. It has up to 6 local cask ales, 7 real ciders and 8 keg lines with Hampshire and just beyond well represented on these. Some foodstuffs are available too.“

“March 2023. New owners. More beer. And delicious food cooked on the premises. Seating is still a little uncomfortable - but there are better tables. Atmosphere is more friendly. People casually chat to each other, or not. It's ok either way, or both. Join a discussion, then drop out. It's all cool. Summer 2016. It’s small, uncomfortable, doesn’t serve food, and doesn’t allow children. But it serves beer: four cask and four keg It’s not helpful that it excludes my family, so, even though it’s local, it’s not a place I have visited much. It’s a place to take beer friends on a crawl around Southampton.“

“Fantastic new micro pub in Woolston, Southampton. The beers here are top quality and the staff tell us they wont put anything on that doesnt meet their standards. Staff are knowledgable, explain about the beer and you can try before you buy. It is a compact bar with a great atmosphere when we’ve been in, very comfortable and welcoming. You can also order nice pizza from a nearby pizzeria, which then gets delivered to the venue. Highly recommended.“

“Excellent new micro pub in the Woolston area of Southampton. The beer range normally features 4 cask and 4 craft ( Key keg ), some local and others sometimes from the north of England. The beer selection is adventurous and there is also of a selection of bottled and tinned craft beers. Two draught Ciders are also on tap. The conversation is good and Olaf’s is a great addition to the Soton beer scene!“
