“Excelent english pub, with a good cask selection and a nice ambiance if you like relaxed and rural places. Acces is not easy because is in the middle of nowhere but the place deserves the effort. Next one please!“

“Called into this 2018 Good Beer Guide pub while on a CAMRA coach trip of the area. It is a popular pub, not just for the locals, and keeps a range of 6 to 10 ales. We chose Hattie Brown's Moonlite and Mighty Oak Old Man & the sea, both in good condition.“

“Cracking boozer up a country lane just off the M25. Good selection of beers from all over the country. I was going to have a sausage roll but at £2.95 you can keep it!“

“A cosy country pub with an excellent range of beers. The interestingly named Land of Liberty, Peace and Plenty is in a nice setting on a country lane on the edge of Heronsgate, a village near Rickmansworth. It’s a double fronted Victorian or Edwardian pub with two bow windows, mock beams and a wooden floor – so no problem when we arrived in our muddy hiking boots. It’s cosy but not olde worlde and the locals and staff were friendly. They have a selection of books about beer and whisky by the brick fireplace and a few games such as Scrabble and 3D noughts and crosses but you might need to step over the big fluffy Alsatian to get at them. Mobile ‘phones have to be switched off and there’s a fine box for anyone caught flouting this rule. By chance, we arrived on the last day of a three day beer festival so there were 10 taps on, with a great choice of beers, many of which were new to me. The list had been updated each day so there were also a few we’d missed. Food was limited to pork pies (very tasty) and pasties. (Visited 9 October 2011).“

“Lovely old country pub, with a big range of ales in excellent condition. The bar snacks are pies & pasties only, but apparently if you book in advance they will cook for you! No children allowed indoors, but there is a nice garden and also a covered wooden deck.“

“Everything you’d expect from a CAMRA award winning country pub. A good range of local ales, the one I sampled being in excellent condition, a pleasant (but renovated) interior and a nice beer garden.“
