“Visited for lunch on Saturday 07/08/21 ... having visited here previously circa 2005/06. Cracking back street boozer with trad interior and a good sized walled beer garden (seats 35/40 ?) with quite a large part under cover. Prompt and friendly service via a large hatch to the beer garden. At the business end 3 cask ales from Tring, a guest from XT and 2 craft keg from Tring. The food was excellent and my other half and her dad claimed it to be the best Ploughman's they'd ever had. A solid back street trad affair and one we'll head back to soon next time we're in Tring. It's about 5 minutes from the town centre.“

“A very nice brewery taproom with four or five cask beers which you can help yourself to, with others available on the bar and bottles to buy for taking away. It was very friendly and welcoming and feels quite rural and, in keeping with this, there’s a farm shop next door. (Visited 3 June 2017).“

“Called in on our coach trip of the area, and found this 2018 Good Beer Guide pub to be a friendly back street local. Family friendly and food served. We enjoyed 2 beers from Farr Brew from the choice of around 5 ales. Morris dancers were in the suntrap patio.“

“Visited in June 2017. A really nice setup. Whilst it’s essentially a shop attached to the brewery you can also try before you buy. They have bottles plus various sized PET containers filled from the cask to go. In fact there wasn’t really any pressure to buy at all (although I did). There are two bars. A self service affair with four handpumps plus a proper bar with eight or so additional cask beers for tasting. All this is free so you can try the whole range - including specials from their newly commissioned 8 barrel special release plant. Takeaway prices are very reasonable. There’s a farm shop (and a blacksmiths) on the same complex. Good local beer for mainly local people - and they were doing a pretty good trade - in pleasant surroundings. Service was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. Many thanks to Rian for driving us here. “

“Visited on 17th August 2016 (thanks to DM for the lift!). Lovely old back street pub in Tring. A couple of rooms and a large bar area inside with a large garden and seats out front too makes it roomy. Decor is excellent with a lovely old traditional feel to the place. Beer range was good with a decent mix of local beers on. Moongazer from Tring is the house beer. Picked up a new Oakham beer here in great nick. Prices decent and the food menu looked great and good value but didn’t eat. Proper old locals pub tucked away in the back streets. One to visit if you’re in the area.“

“Have visited Tring Brewery both on a tour and simply to the shop. The venue is located just off the main London Road opposite a large Tesco and is in the grounds of a farm. The shop is at the front as you enter and the brewery itself to the rear. The shop stocks a fair range of Tring bottled beers and also has 3 cask engines dispensing Tring beers for take away in 2 litre PET bottles. A great vfm option for a BBQ/party. They also sell local produce such as chutneys, jams etc as well as brewery merchandise. The place has a good feel about it, wooden floor, a proper bar area where the cask engines are located and a few seats/benches inside. I did the tour in late 2010 on a Friday night - approx 20 people. This was excellent vfm - around £15 including a fish supper and as much beer from the bar as you could handle in 2 hours! Good little venue and well worth doing the tour just for a decent little session if nothing else!“
