70 /100 STATION ROAD Bus no. 8 from Ryde brought us here, a bus ride for about half-an-hour. The bus stop is, in fact, located almost right outside the place. Medium sized L-shaped drinking room in light colours. Five of their own beers on tap at our stay, served in different sizes, including thirds. Succulent home made pizzas. Outdoor seating in front of the Inn. Friendly and helpful service. (Visited with Finn, 20.10.2022). |
70 /100 STATION ROAD Nice pub/taproom with a handfull of their own beers. Small beer garden. |
70 /100 STATION ROAD Interesting building that looks like a ship. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Although my request for a flight confused them... which handily they do.... £8.50 for 6 thirds. That was the 5 Wight Knuckle beers they had available + guest cider. Beers were nice enough. But the pizza they do was the best I'd had in memory. Lovely stuff. Anyway definitely worth a detour. |
62 /100 Crab and Lobster Inn (Bar) 32 FORELANDS FIELD ROAD It’s really a food orientated place. Is was a hot day and we sat outside. Plenty of seating and a great view. 2 local beers on when I visited. |
76 /100 STATION ROAD Visited on a Saturday lunchtime. Nice boat shaped building. The brewery is set behind. The bar is small but with plenty of outside seating. Lots of their own beers, and a couple of guest beers. |
56 /100 Crab and Lobster Inn (Bar) 32 FORELANDS FIELD ROAD On the edge of the small town of Bembridge, you have to walk or drive from the main road past a number of local houses to find this pub which is perched above the English channel with fantastic views out to sea. It’s also possible to get down to the rocky beach areas from its garden area out front that affords these views. Inside it is a comfortably relatively modern interior with a bar that stocks local ales amongst other well known brands. Food was a little slow in coming though. |
