“Lively and comfortable village local with an extraordinarily well kept and chosen range of cask beers. The enthusiastic licensee sources beers direct from brewers such as Marble or Pictish which are scarcely seen in the south of England. The comparatively local Dark Star Brewery is a regular fixture on the bar with 3 of their beers being available on my visit. The pub serves excellent value home cooked food, has an extensive garden and is child and dog friendly. Despite it’s remote rural location, this pub is fairly accessible from London. It is a pleasent 20 minute walk from Farningham Rd Station, which is only 35 minutes by train from London Victoria. A worthwhile journey to visit one of the best pubs in South East England.“
