“Along the canal, east of the town centre and walkable, this restaurant that looks like a pub occupies one end of an historic wharfside building which is now multipurpose. There's some outdoor tables next to the water. Sells macro brews only, with one unoccupied cask pump adorning the bar when I was there.“

“Around 8 of their own brew cask beers from the micro brewery behind the pub. A very varied range if styles if cask with a few lagers & ciders discreetly in the back wall. Service was very friendly & locals standing at the bar chatted. Plenty if seated in a multiple room set up. Thus used to be an excellent food pub but doesn't appear to food now. Cask was well kept, bright & fresh. We sat outside in beer garden. There is also a bottle shop on the large car park.“

“Caribbean styled restaurant located on the Leeds - Liverpool canal. Indoor and outdoor seating on the canal edge. Very friendly staff and owner. Not the best selection of beers. Brilliant Caribbean food and good value.“

“Not the best Wetherspoons, a lot of "characters" in there no matter what time of day you go in! Decent selection of beer though.“

“Good old fashioned English pub. Mirco-brewery on site, great beers on tap and also to take away.“

“On our visit, 2 of the 4 cask lines were off. Keg offering was uninspiring. No bottled beers except alcohol-free ones. Food was excellent though, if a little pricey for the portion size. Service was friendly, but slow. Good place for a leisurely Sunday lunch.“

“I found myself in a queue to get into this pub in its own building shortly before 4pm on a Friday, so despite the fact it’s in a rural area high above the M65 relatively close the main junction for Blackburn, and you’ll probably need a car to get here. The front part of the building represents the drinking part of this brewpub, and it’s all traditional in look and appearance with soft furnishings complimenting wooden furniture, all of which make for cosy surroundings. The service area in the middle of the building includes a full row of Three B’s regular and current special brews, as well as a further one on two pumps against the wall at the rear of the bar - the other pump will have a guest cider on it. There’s an ample car park at the side of the pub. You can sample this brewers ales in third pint tasters here.“

“Utilising and old Post Office building next to the cathedral in one of the town centre’s few and far between pretty locations, this Wetherspoon pub is decked out in its most familiar style with dark wooden tables chair and paneling on a warm carpet with low-ceilings creating a fairly intimate atmosphere, more so at either end of the pub which has elevated platform areas. The bar service area occupies the large central area of the pub and there’s plenty of space to order, which is sometimes fully utilised given how popular this first pub of the chain in the town is, and when Blackburn Rovers are playing it is bound to be busy (despite the fact the stadium is about a mile south of the centre). Ales are readily available.“
