| 62 /100 86 HUD RAKE “In its own small building, this part of the Rossendale Breweries collection of pubs can be a little hard to find if you approach it from the maze of streets in Haslingden’s town centre, but is easily found off the main road in from the north where the road forks and the left branch leads up hill up Hud Rake. The central doorway leads into a three room area that’s defined but all open plan. The first room to the left is the games room and includes a pool table, behind this is the bar area which has a couple of seats, but it’s mainly where you can choose from a long row of all the regular ales produced by this small brewer. The right of the pub is one long room with comfortable traditional styled seating that ends in a fireplace. There’s nothing too spectacular about all this, but it’s comfortable and friendly and gets a fair number of regulars in.“ |
