58 /100 The Fish House (Restaurant) 102401 OVERSEAS HWY Visited for dinner on a Monday evening. We actually had a drink at the original Fish House, and then dinner at The Fish House Encore which is just across the parking lot. The Fish House has excellent, fresh fish. This was one of the best meals I had during my trip to the Keys. Service was great, and the atmosphere in both buildings was great - nice mix of tourists and locals relaxing and having a good time. In terms of the beer selection, there really wasn’t much on offer - 2 Islamorada beers and a handful of macro / large national craft. Certainly worth visiting as a food destination, not so much for beer. Not sure if this needed to be added to the DB, but since it was figured Id give my review. 58 = ★½ (Local place tickers only) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
72 /100 101611 OVERSEAS HWY Surprise - pizza by the slice and a great selection of craft & imported beer. I did not sample to food so I can not speak to that. On the nine taps was a fantastic (especially for the keys) selection of quality beers both craft and trappist from Europe. The inside set up has a bar on the left side where you can order food and sit-down tables on the right. Outside are a few tables under the shade of an awning.

64 /100 Ballyhoo’s (Restaurant) 97860 OVERSEAS HIGHWAY was disappointed by the beer scene in key largo. Tasters Grille and Market was closed for relocation, Trading Post didn’t have anything interesting. then saw an ad for churrasco steak, went to Ballyhoo’s, saw goose island in the cooler, and knew i had a place i had to add. |
