“Kind of a cool spot. In a small strip mall. Flights available. Stouts and IPAs were pretty good. Belgian styles not so much.“

“Friendly, attentive service. Beautiful patio and garden with games in the back. I only had a small sample size, but the beers are serviceable, at best. I haven’t visited since 2015, so the product may have improved.“

“Cool taproom with an awesome patio. Not awesome is the train that damn near goes through said patio. Flights available - again cool. Not cool is lousy beers.“

“When I visited: Late March 2014. What I had: Flight of Ormond Brewing Co. 40 Weight Dry Stout, Bigger Belma IPA, American Black Ale, and Tomahawk Red IRA for myself, and a flight of Honey Cream Ale, Nut Brown, Cream Ale, and Pepin Le Fat for my girl. What I liked: Clean, simple, and inviting setup inside, huge outdoor patio, clearly visible chalkboard, decent prices, wine available by the glass, lots of schwag on offer, they seem to experiment with more styles than Tomoka Brewery. What I disliked: Except for the Black Ale most of the beers were mediocre, servers weren’t that friendly, didn’t notice any food options, no guest taps either. Would I go back? Possibly. Overall Rating: 72“

“Little tough to find. Small bar area at the entrance. A patio area right outside that I didn’t visit. Beer selection was pretty good. All at least solid beers. Two bartenders working. I got there just before the evening rush it appeared. Once people started streaming in it got pretty crowded in the small area. Bartenders worked hard and did a good job of getting everyone waited on. Four flight tasters available at a decent price. Will visit again if I’m ever in the area.“

“Your GPS will lead you as far as the entrance to an warehouse park and you will probably be sure that you are in the wrong place. Be persistent, though, and you will find the adorned door to Ormond Brewing Company. The place has a small tasting room but an expansive patio with heaters and tables. I had a flight of four, and they were all good and I judged two to be excellent -- the Honey Cream Ale and the Red IPA (IRA). Service was not the fastest, but the folks behind the bar were working as hard as they could to keep up with demand. Others pitched in when it got real busy. Even though their website says they only fill growlers to 5 PM, they didn’t hesitate to fill my 32 oz ones for $7 a piece. The flight of four was $8 and I didn’t catch the pint prices -- not too bad. The brewer was more than happy to tell us about his operation, and I felt definite beer enthusiast bonding with the other patrons at the bar. Food was advertised (pizza, I believe) but I did not get any. I didn’t see anyone else get any either. There did not appear to be big kitchen operation. Ormond Brewing has only been open about a month, but I say it has a bright future ahead based on the fabulous start.“

“Wine shop and restaurant with a nice beer selection. Mostly singles in coolers as well as some non-chilled singles. Build your own 6 or 4 packs. Selection includes some imports including standard Belgians (e.g., chimay). Also a nice domestic craft selection such as Victory and Cigar City. The selection is not huge, but they have a few nice choices. We didn’t eat here, but the menu looked good - somewhat upscale, in line with the wine theme. Service was attentive and helpful. A good choice for craft beer in the area.“

“When I visited: Late November 2012. What I had: Cigar City Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout on tap, red wines for my folks. What I liked: 5 craft taps and 20 well-selected bottles make this a decent option for the area, friendly and attractive waitress, relaxed conversational vibe, comfortable tables, ventilation system clears out the smoke quite well (barely even notice it), nice sit-down bar. What I disliked: Beer menu isn’t as robust as Ormond Wine Co. and there’s nothing to eat here, but I still enjoy this place. Would I go back? Yes. Overall Rating: 70“

“When I visited: Late November 2012. What I had: Stone Arrogant Bastard on tap with meatloaf and mashed potatoes to eat, shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, and white wines for my parents. What I liked: My pint was decent but everything else was a mess. What I disliked: Nearly empty at dinner time, awkward setup at the front (do we seat ourselves or wait for a host?), okay beer selection but the Stone tap was the only thing that really caught my eye, my folks had to settle for a wine they didn’t want, food was utterly abysmal and seemed to be microwaved, we left after one drink and a few bites of our food. Huge disappointment. Would I go back? No. Overall Rating: 56“

“Don’t expect to have a conversation if a band is playing. Bring a jacket. Don’t expect to get a seat if you walk in and all the tables are empty, the girls at the hostess counter will just look at you for a while and then finally decide to work and set you right next to the only other person in the restaurant. So you can be on top of the other patrons that are there. Beer selection and food selection and food quality are great. If you could do takeout that would be wonderful. Then you wouldn’t have to deal with the crappy service. And don’t think about calling to complain to a manager, the phone will just be put down on the counter.“

“Very good food, reasonable beer selection, especially if you like British ales and very good service. Finally the Daytona Beach area has a pub worth going to.“

“After searching high and low for good beer stores in and around Daytona, I finally stumbled upon Ormond Wine Co., located about 2 minutes from where we were staying. Atmosphere is upscale, wine bar decor, very clean and well-organized, with cellars along the walls and a sizable beer fridge in the middle of the store. At first glance I thought the selection would be decent at best, so I was shocked to find a fairly wide array of good to world class offerings. I grabbed the Boulder Mojo IPA, Left Hand Milk Stout, Hitachino Japanese Classic Ale, Lost Coast 8 Ball Stout, Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard and 13th Anniversary Ale, Flying Dog Double Pale Ale, Avery Salvation, Franziskaner Dunkel, Smuttynose "Finest Kind" IPA, Bell’s HopSlam, Delirium Tremens, and Spaten Optimator, among others. Everything is affordable and in total I would say they carry 80 craft beers and imports, most of which are superb. Service is friendly and helpful - the black-haired guy made great recommendations on my first trip and the blonde tanned lady was more than happy to grab me some empty six-packs on another visit. As I’ve mentioned in my other reviews, Wine Co. is one of the top beer destinations in the area, along with Bottle Caps, McK’s Tavern, Mr. Dunderbak’s, and Shores Festhaus. If you’re looking for excellent beer in Ormond, Daytona, or Port Orange, this is a place to consider.“
