“Homely pub right in the centre of the village and right on the line of the C2C walk and more importantly right in the middle of the boring flat, farmland bit that starts to play with your mind. The pub itself has an opened out feel, there are no nooks and crannies, a bit country kitchen in character, but a little cold too. There are 5 hand pumps with local breweries, just a couple in action on my visit and nothing new for me. There is a B&B there along with some basic camping for walkers who carry their own, so really trying hard. Worth a look.“
