| 62 /100 Buck Hotel (Bar) SILVER STREET “Multi roomed hotel cum pub on the top end of the village green. There is a lived in, old inn fell to it with a jolly atmosphere, good food and well kept beer. It was our favourite of the 3 closely grouped pubs. Right on the C2C walk and is a popular stopping off point, we were camped at the nearby Orchard camp-site. Well worth a look.“ |

| 50 /100 Black Bull Hotel (Bar) HIGH ROW “Large pub on the village green, a popular stop off for C2C walkers. This has a younger, locals feel to it with a pool table and a more rugged feel. The beer range is disappointing with just Yorkshire national brands available. Note the upside down sign outside. Reasonable.“ |
