76 /100 1 WEST END, STOKESLEY Nice feel to this pub. It had the fell of a cosy village pub, at such when i went it was fairly busy, with a few regulars. The beer selection covered there own beers, plus a few other from the regions breweries. Nice friendly place. |
62 /100 1 WEST END, STOKESLEY The White Swan is a decent pub for the real ale lover. It has 8 hand pumps that dispense four beers from the house brewery plus four guests, usually from other microbrewers in the region. It also has two real ciders. Beer festivals are held several times a year and there can be 20 or more ales available at these times. The beer selection isn’t always very exciting, but there are likely to be bitters and golden ales you’ve not tried before. If you’re lucky there may be a stout or porter thrown in. |
78 /100 1 WEST END, STOKESLEY We’ve stopped here on our way to Stockton just on time to visit Beer & Cheese Festival. Since we were arriving at early afternoon we were worried if the pub is going to be opened and expected few people inside. Turns out place was packed, seemed like half of village was in there. Traditional pub with very nice atmosphere, all about beer and cheese. They had 20 cask beers on, some interesting brews as well. We’ve shared a cheese board which was great. Usually they have 8 casks and 2 ciders. If visiting during festival add 5 points to the score. |
76 /100 Blackwell Ox Inn (Bar) CARLTON IN CLEVELAND, N. STOKESLEY Cute country pub with Thai food buffet. We only stopped there for beer. Family-friendly and playground in the backyard. Nice. |
