“The only pub in the beautiful and historic village of Castle Acre, set on the main square. The building itself is attractive, newly renovated, but dating from the 16th century. The front room has a huge fireplace, sadly replaced by a stove, as well as scattered tables and chairs. Second room is the bar, just a couple of barstools and three tables. Third room has a large vaulted ceiling and another huge fireplace. Four cask beer on offer, all local, with two from Moon Gazer. Friendly service and locals. Tasty food, reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.“
